Elia Palazzo Hotel

We intended to book a small hotel in Chania’s old town so my wife and I settled on the Elia Palazzo and booked a superior room with a balcony. The balcony overlooked Theotokopoulou a lively narrow street that contained plenty of eating places and small shops. We had a problem with our first room where the double bed was against the wall but we were moved to an adjoining room without fuss where the bed was more accessible. It was great to sit on the balcony after breakfast and after returning from dinner to view the street scene beneath. The room and bathroom were very clean the latter containing a large shower and complementary toiletries. There was a varied selection of food for breakfast, enough to satisfy most tastes. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and extremely helpful throughout the six days we stayed there. Situated where we were, in Chania’s old town, it was easy get to and sample a large variety of tavernas. It is difficult to find a bad one in the old town. Although we didn’t use it the beach was about a ten to fifteen minute walk from our accommodation and as witnessed in the morning, our street was a favourite route. Overall this hotel ticked all the boxes for us and demanded a return visit when we are next in Chania.

Absolutely beautiful. From the communication before we arrived to the super friendly welcome, I only wished we could have stopped longer. We were stopping in Gouves. But in hindsight, Chania is beautiful. The rooms were spotless, and really spacious. All the staff are friendly and the breakfast was lovely, and for such a small hotel the choice was better and fresher than the big hotel we are stopping in. It felt so relaxing and chilled. Sitting on the balcony with a red wine, watching the world go by. 100% recommend this hotel and huge thanks to Georgios and the team.

Fab location. A lovely hotel right in the heart of Chania old town, its at the start of the lanes that run through the old town. There are some lovely shops and restaurants right beside the hotel. We had a lovely room on the first floor with a small balcony overlooking the lanes. We had a lovely buffet breakfast when we left. The staff are lovely very friendly and helpful.

Palazzo Elia Hotel’s location is excellent as it is situated a stone throw’s away from the old Venetian port of Chania and its Firkas Fortress, from the innumerable restaurants and from the beautiful Chania Town centre. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean and the breakfast that is included varies everyday and is so delicious! Great value for money at its best. However, it’s the super-friendly, phenomenal staff of Palazzo Elia Hotel that makes the difference. Our young daughter adored the staff and they helped make us feel at home from the very first day. They helped with every question we could have possibly had, booked our excursions, arranged transfers and gave us tips on how to make our stay in Chania unforgettable. We highly recommend Palazzo Elia Hotel for you next trip to Chania Town, Crete. We will definitely be back!

Four of us stayed for 3 nights in this delightful hotel situated in the old town of Chania to explore this idyllic venue. We used the hotels airport transfer which left us a short stroll to the hotel to be warmly greeted by Nektaria! Our stay was perfect from start to finish, rooms lived up to expectations and the staff were brilliant! Breakfast was superb with Evelyna at the helm, Maria made sure our rooms were spotless each day and Stelios was on hand to deal with all enquiries at reception along with Nektaria !!

Let's start with the good or nice thinks...room comfortable and very clean... reception stuff helpful and very friendly special at our arrival...👍👍👍 But sorry the no go is the breakfast special the stuff...the breakfast is the start in the day and it have to be not special but a few thinks have some rules...and this was not happened... Breakfast...need extremely improvement...bread old (even the day after Eastern, on Tuesday every where you get fresh breed but not here, for Easter Monday we don't talk) unbelievable two days the breakfast stuff forget to open the Rechaud to keep warm the eggs and the pies and side dishes warml ... and if you complain that eggs and all the side dishes are cold and you ask for 2 fresh fried eggs you have to discuss with the breakfast lady and she tell you she can warm up dry fried scrabble eggs or fried eggs...sorry no go...after 20 min we ask again for 2 fresh fried eggs she start again to discuss, in the end one from our friend he get fresh eggs... it's a shame to write things like this because normally we had every time very good experience... I am sure the management don't know this problems 🤔🙄😥 please improve this thinks because normally your hotels are a good value for money...but not this time😥
