In town to see a show at the Timberlake Amphitheater. This place was such a lovely surprise! Had a king with a lake view. Impeccably clean room. Pretty grounds/landscaping. Great deck. Quiet location. Lots of other guests around but no noise at all. Bathroom is little but clean and lots of towels. They’re still doing updates on the check-in area so no breakfast or vending available but the room had a fridge and microwave. Was a little hesitant to stay here due to some of the older reviews but couldn’t be more pleased! Weill definitely stay here again if we’re ever back this way.

Traveled north to see Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob and chose this place to stay overnight. There isn't much around the area. Limited restaurants and nowhere to eat breakfast before 8 am. The lodge does not offer any breakfast or food. The owners are slowly updating the property. There are 5 motel-style rooms in multiple buildings surrounding a small pond. It seems like a place for family reunions and groups. The room was fine for an overnight stay. There was a plug in airfreshener that was so overpowering that we had to remove it from the room and leave it outside and open the doors to air out the room. Josh recommended a place across the street for lunch and a restaurant that was closed for dinner. We found another place for dinner but there are not many options. When we got ourselves out early for breakfast before our 9 AM tour of Fallingwater, there was no place to eat breakfast. The restaurants from the day before both open at 8 AM. We found a coffee place with donuts that was open and scarfed down whatever they had. Overall the stay was fine.

This place is truly a hidden gem! The property is beautiful, clean, and quiet. The lake is beautiful and stocked with fish. There are also grills if you want to cook out. It is very close to all the major attractions such as Fallingwater, Laurel Caverns, Ohiopyle, Christian Klay winery, and Fort Necessity, which make it all the better to stay. The prices are always very reasonable compared to the other choices around. I have stayed there a few times by myself and with my family. I appreciate how the rooms are always very clean. I have stayed in their standard and king rooms. I found the king room to be very spacious with a full size fridge in the which is perfect when traveling with my family. They are also pet friendly which is a huge plus so you do not have to board your pet while on vacation. The employees there are very friendly and have helped me book the perfect rooms over the phone based on my needs making the process that much easier. The check in process was as equally smooth checking during or after business hours via lock box. I will stay no where else when visiting the area.

I wasn't sure what to expect but the lodge was close by my destination of Kentuck Knob and Fallingwater so I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by a nice, comfy, clean room. It was as well appointed as a chain hotel. The deck was nice and grounds lovely. I liked being able to park right outside my door too. I recommend staying here and giving your money to an independent owner.

Beautiful place lake is beautiful manager is professional. Pet friendly lots to do nearby. Love the porches over looking the lake. Would be beautiful in the fall with all the leaves. Will definitely visit again

We spent an excellent night at The Lodge at Chalk Hill. The staff were very congenial and extremely helpful. The room was spotless; the bathroom was recently completely renovated; the furniture in great condition; the beds were as comfortable as we have experienced in a motel or hotel. The small deck attached to the room (each room has one) was a very pleasant spot with a lovely view. And the grounds throughout, the trees and ornamental shrubs and flowers, are gorgeous. The owner has renovated the Lodge on a comprehensive scale and a bit more work needs to be done. But a night at the Lodge would be a very sound choice, at a very competitive rate, and ought to be an excellent choice for a safe and relaxing evening in this beautiful section of Pennsylvania. We will definitely stay here again.

Very clean which is a huge factor for this positive review. Priced reasonably; close to Ohiopyle. Restaurants nearby. Charming surroundings. Loved the deck. Scattered pavilions and fire pits are a nice touch.

Great clean motel near Ohiopyle. Its not fancy but is well run with friendly staff. Apparently new management. Great option if you are looking for a place to stay while visiting this area. 10 min drive to the craziness and high lodging prices of Ohiopyle.
