Revisited this gorgeous hotel as a birthday treat in the newly renovated Teign suite, which was stunning! So many beautiful touches, and were blown away again by restaurant thanks to the 5 star service and incredible fine dining food. You just can’t beat this place for quality and location!

Great location on Dartmoor, next to a stream and close to the lovely town of Chagford and the fabulous Castle Drogo. Decor in hotel sitting room is dark and drab, most uninviting, as was our room. Not impressed with regimented arrangement for meals - choose a time (if available), wait to be shown to a table: why, when dining room has several empty tables from which to choose?! Food, however, is excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient.

Great find. Nice little hotel with great staff and delicious food. The chef cooked me some fabulous vegan dishes - much appreciated. Perfect if you have dogs as they are very welcome and fabulous walks from the doorstep. We will definitely be going back to Mill End - soon I hope!

A beautiful hotel with excellent food located on the edge of Dartmoor. Very ,very romantic even idyllic. The staff were very efficient and friendly. We stayed in a good room (Bovey) with an excellent walk in shower that on a dinner ,bed and breakfast basis represented excellent value for money. We have booked again for spring 2025.

From the moment you arrive - the grounds are beautiful, the staff thoroughout the whole stay are so so friendly. I’ve stayed in a lot of places and this has to be the friendliest. The room was divine. It had everything I needed and felt luxurious. The food 10/10. If you haven’t been try their roasts!! The hotel itself is a fascinating place to walk around. Just outside the door is the river Teign, wonderful walks along the river. Just up the road is castle Drogo you can visit. I can’t wait to go back.

If only all hotels were like Mill End. A hotel that welcomes dogs rather than accepts them, providing them comfy beds, a supply of treats, towels to dry off and even a dog tag! There is a secure area for them to go off lead and they are allowed everywhere in the hotel other than the restaurant, though there are tables where you can dine with them if you want. And humans are well catered for as well. Lovely, well presented accommodation with an exceptional restaurant. All supported by a friendly, yet professional, staff who clearly take a pride in the service they provide. As I say, if only all hotels…….

Perfect location, not far from the A30, and an outstandingly good and well run hotel. The situation is idyllic. Staff are friendly, helpful and work extremely hard to make every guest welcome as an individual. Nothing is too much trouble. Food in the restaurant is delicious, an exceptional chef makes much use of local sourcing and flavour combinations are well judged. We shall be returning, d.v.

From the moment we crossed the threshold the staff made us very welcome, the hotel is nicely decorated throughout and extremely clean and comfortable, we stayed in Dart which is a lovely spacious room with a big bathroom and a brilliant balcony. The food was delicious, varied and presented and served perfectly. We hope to return in the new year

We enjoyed an overnight stop at Mill End and wish we could have stayed longer . Lovely , helpful staff , cosy and spotlessly clean room , wonderful food and a lounge full of atmosphere to relax in . Plenty to see and do in the local area . chagford village is close with interesting shops and places to eat . We will certainly return .
