The town is beautiful. The hotel is lovely. I walked in so excited to be there. The staff was checking people out so I waited. When it was my turn I asked to just store my luggage as it was too early for check in. She snapped at me that I shouldn’t have come during check in and if I wanted to see the town that day I should have booked the previous night. I was so sad. I ended up taking my luggage and getting lunch next store (it was 10:40, not like it was 7am.) I took the bus from Linz so I didn’t get to choose my arrival. Also there were silver fish bugs in the bathroom as other reviews have noted. Finally the card with the keys says breakfast is 6:30. I waited until 6:30 and was again snapped at that it’s 7. Then 10 minutes later they let other guests in. Room and view were lovely as were some staff, but I’ve honestly never felt so unwelcome and couldn’t wait to leave.

Wonderful experience at the Castle View Apartments! We had probably the best unit in the complex, which is on the ground floor (no steps other than two steps up to the bathroom), nice living room, kitchenette area, bedroom and great balcony with outstanding view of the castle. Not all rooms have the view, but this is clearly stated on their website. Our unit was spotless, quiet and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the towels were good and fluffy. We learned that the property has a new owner since the pandemic and they have all new mattresses and furnishings. There is a grocery store around the corner which should supply all your needs. We were looking for breakfast however, so they recommended a great restaurant around the corner on the square, the Authentic Cafe, which is a lovely space and offers an excellent full breakfast cooked to order from a menu. While not inexpensive, it was high quality and we really enjoyed it. We were cold the first day we arrived as the town had not turned on the heat for fall yet, but with the urging of Daniel with the property, they got it turned on so we were then comfortable. Nice that they have a heated towel rack in the bathroom. They let me know that they offer a private transfer service in a luxury SUV from Prague and on to Vienna which we took advantage of. The cost was about the same as CK Shuttles. Daniel with the hotel provided the transfers. He is friendly and kind and we enjoyed getting to know him on the beautiful drives. He'll make stops along the way as needed. He took wonderful care of us on the drives and during our stay going above and beyond the call of duty. He is a gem! Highly recommend!

El hotel no está lejos de la estación de transporte de pasajeros, caminando a unos diez minutos después de salir del autobús, el único defecto es que el hotel está en el lugar alto y el traer el equipaje es realmente aburrido. Habrá un punto de vista en la carretera. El hotel está en un entorno muy bueno y caminando a la ciudad de CK también 5-10 minutos para entrar. El desayuno es muy rico.

location: in the middle of the old town, on main square, no parking there, parking for hotel guests a 4' walk away, parked there, then went to hotel, short walk. but you can also proceed directly to hotel, i guess from 3pm onwards, for unloading and loading - details by hotel. check-in, although about 25 ********* tourists filled the area at front desk, within minutes. had room in attic, i'd say about 50m², great for romantic couples, quiet, with heating, looking at main square, on the horizon the church and the castle on top of the hill on the opposite riverbank. breakfast european, nice setting. we also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant downstairs - top recommendation, great food, local and international. hotel doesn't have any elevator, stayed on level 3, but they do carry luggage up and down, on request - poor staff - remember, 25 ********* tourists with lots of luggage ;-)

Este hotel es pequeño pero muy lindo. Recomiendo no hospedarse en el piso 4 ya que el elevador solo llega hasta el piso 3 y cargar maletas es un problema. Por lo demás, las habitaciones son muy lindas, grandes y cómodas. El desayuno es de los mejores que he tomado y la ubicación del hotel es excelente. Las tiendas y restaurantes están muy cerca. Lo recomiendo mucho y volvería a hospedarme ahí sin duda.

La comida es maravillosa, la ambiencia es muy grande, pero no hay servicio. Nos hemos elegido el dessert del menú, pero como el camarero no se detuvo en nuestra mesa (aunque nos encontramos más cerca del bar), sino que seguíamos pasando por otros clientes. Cuidado - es sólo un restaurante en efectivo - sólo si te ocurre perder el signo en el camino (aparentemente) como nosotros 😉 De lo contrario, este es un hermoso restaurante con música en vivo - un jugador de piano en esta ocasión.

All My wife and I stayed here for three nights in mid-September, ‘22. We enjoyed it very much and recommend it highly. It is a classic old hotel set right on the river, just across from the picturesque castle. One of the town bridges is just in front of the hotel, and the street leads to the castle in one direction and to the main part of the old town in the other. We found the location to be very convenient. A short distance away is another bridge with a walkway that leads to one of the town parking areas. It would be possible to reach the hotel with a small amount of luggage, but we opted to park and walk to the hotel before obtaining a town pass to drive to the front of the hotel with our luggage. If you then choose one of the hotel’s private parking options, which we did, someone from the hotel will guide you in another vehicle to your parking area and bring you back to the hotel. Be aware that even with a town pass you can’t drive in town from 10 am to 3 pm, which can complicate departure as well as arrival. We arranged for a taxi to pick us up with our luggage and take us to our car when we checked out to get around this. Our room (401) was on the corner of the top floor and likely an upgrade from our castle-view room. It was a very large suite with a bedroom area, a sitting area, a separate room with closet and storage area, and a huge tiled-bathroom with an enclosed alcove for the toilet. We had terrific views of the town, the river, and the castle from every room. The sleeping area had a comfortable king bed, a desk, sofa, tv cabinet, small round table with two chairs, nicely decorated a classical style. There was a single cup coffee maker that was very good. The closet wqs large, but had only and few hangers and the safe wasn’t operable. The bathroom had a pedestal sink with adequate counter space, and a shower/tub combo. Our only complaint about the room was that there were no heat controls and it was unseasonably chilly during our visit. Breakfast was a very good buffet with lots of fruit, cereals, baked goods, eggs, breakfast meats, etc. All in all, we highly recommend the Dvorak for comfort, location, and character.
