Villa Del Mare Spa Resort

A regular at Villa del Mare. It continues to be a lovely experience. What makes it standout vs other options/hotels in the area is its rooftop pool, its breakfast and its rooms (design, comfort & views). The friendliness and umbrella offer at Bagno 169 is also a factor. In terms of suggestions on what would make it even better: reopening of the ground floor bar (I do not see this as competing with Alto as it would have a very different demographic), welcoming outdoor ground floor seating around any reopened bar and within the next year (which may be part of general maintenance schedule) a lick of paint particularly where signs of rust are evident. There is lots of empty communal spaces available, and it would be great to see these put to imaginative use. I was a bit upset that Cervia's electric hire (scooter/bike - Bird) scheme had stopped, as particularly for Villa del Mare this saved a good 20-30mins walk into centres of Cervia and Milano Marittima. I know you can hire bikes, but this is a hassle and also more expensive! So anything the hotel management can do to persuade whomever (council, etc) to bring back the hire scheme would be appreciated.

Now lost count of how many times we have stayed at Villa del Mare. This time we brought friends too. What makes it excellent is: room size and features, room decor, breakfast, umbrella/bagno offer (and friendliness and good food of Bagno 169), rooftop pool. I could write a sentence describing how each is excellent. The staff are friendly and approachable. For us, we very highly value the pool. In the summer spending the late afternoon early evening in and around the pool and bar is perfect relaxation. Kids enjoy it too. Unfortunately, the pool and rooftop closes at 18:00 to get ready for its evening conversion. 17:30-18:30 is peak relaxation time, so I would love to see closure put back to 18:30 or 19:00. They would sell more aperitfs! On the whole, we hope the owners continue to invest to maintain its look and functionality. And we hope to come back again and again. Cervia itself is fun - an obscene amount of great and reasonable priced restaurants, great array of bars, gelaterias, as lots of sport available. Only downside is the sea/water quality can be variable (another reason why the pool is so great). Cervia is a bit of a hidden gem in Europe. It is no longer the poorer cousin of Milano Marittima!

Personale estremamente cordiale e attento alle esigenze. Colazione a buffet fantastica (dolce/salato). Utilizzato anche la SPA e anche qui il personale è competente e disponibile! Stessa cosa per la spiaggia, la convenzione con il bagno 169 UNA CERTEZZA!!! Ah dimenticavo io ho preferito pagare un extra e utilizzare il parcheggio interrato! Questa è la terza volta che pernotto per più di 1 wk e lo std è rimasto pressoché invariato.
