I love the old English atmosphere, so I was immediately attracted to this Inn. Quality Inn has also been a line I have had good luck with. I lived in Victoria 40 years ago for 10 years, this Inn is an icon in Saanichton. The other reasons I chose it were that it was close to Butchart Gardens where we were going that day, the price was reasonable compared with the outrageous rates these days, and breakfast was provided and in their lovely library as well. We were only there for one night, so wasn't looking for pools and gyms, etc. We found the room to be renovated, lovely and clean and the beds and pillows very comfortable. I was appreciative of breakfast but I have advised them I think their waffles are being cooked a bit too long. There were muffins and English muffins there, but I just like a piece of toast in the morning, maybe I was just too late. There was no tea in the room, and I would next time bring my own cream, as the whitener did nothing, compared to the usual disgusting coffee mate, lol. The staff were wonderfully accommodating and they even found my missing mouth guard and sent it back to me. Having a pub and liquor store on site, I'm sure, is a bonus for a lot of people. I would definitely stay there again.
