Carlton Hotel Riviera

Shall keep it short DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL Staff are seriously miserable and very rude, I understood ever word said about English people, I'm English Italian!!!!!! The all inclusive is S*#@ and dangerous to your health, food hygiene is seriously bad... Myself and my partner got food poisoning on the second day of being there, our holiday was ruined .. My advice is actually stay in Cefalu where everything is available to you and your not stuck in the middleofnowhere, you'll enjoy your holiday better.. AVOID THIS PLACE

We were offered this hotel as an alternative to one we'd first booked which became unavailable. Spent 5 days at the Carlton Riviera Hotel and there were both positives and negatives. A beautiful location, right on the coast, so fantastic sea views and private (pebbly) beach onto clear, shallow waters. Plenty of room around the pool. Unfortunately, it's a fair distance from any shops restaurants etc, so it cost us a bit in taxi fares. There is a minibus you can book for 5 Euros pp a couple of times a day but it soon gets fully booked. Taxi costs 20 Euros into Cefalu, so you really need a car here. It's also a long way from Palermo and Trapani airports. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff although few of them spoke English and our Italian was rubbish were almost all pleasant and really went out of their way to help us. The All Inclusive was not good. Breakfasts were so-so, we didn't attempt lunch but dinner was cheap often lukewarm and not always fully cooked. Also, not really a buffet you couldn't serve yourself. In the bar, the drink options were very limited. Only cocktails in the all inclusive were vodka or gin on alternate nights swamped in fruit juice, no fruit or other accompaniments and served from a pre prepared jug! Entertainment was put on by the hard working animation team but very basic and mainly French spoken, so quizzes etc not very good. Some of the fixtures and fittings in the rooms were very tired. We enjoyed the trip because Cefalu is lovely but could not in all honesty recommended this hotel.

Great Hotel affiliated with Italica Hotels and Resorts . Friendly staff excellent food and facilities . Great views and prime position with a handy public bus service to Cefalù centre. There are lots to do for couples and families . Two lovely private beaches with sun beds and umbrellas great pool overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and in the near distance Cefalù . My bedroom was spacious had a nice balcony and amazing views. In the evening it was just pure luxury having an after dinner drink on the terrace and around the pool . There was a great atmosphere and thanks to the staff for contributing to the success of my holiday

We stayed at the Carlton Riviera in Cefalu' which has recently been taken over by new hotel group Italica Hotels and Resorts and the service , food, bedroom quality , staff, food and facilities were simply amazing . The position is just 'Location Location Location ) overlooking its beach the sea and Cefalu in the near distance . It's a 10 minutues drive to Cefalu centre and there is a very good public bus service from right outside the hotels entrance .

Dans l’ensemble c’était un super bon séjour dans cet hôtel ! La vue sur la mer est à couper le souffle. Accès à la plage directement de l’hôtel, période mi juin avec beaucoup de soleil et de chaleur. Le petit déjeuner se fait au 4 eme étage vu sur la mer, incroyable. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Donatelo avec son super sourire. Les chambres sont très simples et bien lavées. Les repas du midi et du soir sont sous forme de buffet froid et chaud, nous avons eu divers choix de très bonne qualité. En ce qui concerne l’animation, nous remercions fortement Lucas, Capucine et Bryan pour leurs joies de vivre et leurs folies à toutes heures, ils font vivre l’hôtel avec leur moyen et c’est vraiment top c’est un + pour ce trio ! Ils vont nous manquer !! Il y a à disposition des bus pour visiter Cefalu et des locations de voitures mais sinon il n’y a rien aux alentours de l’hôtel. Petit bémol, pour la piscine avec les produits qu’ils mettent dedans, ils brûlent les yeux et abîment les maillots de bain (deviennent vert) Au niveau du bar, nous remercions Giuseppe pour son amabilité. Les autres sont moins agréables, toujours à essayer de nous faire payer la moindre boisson, à dire que certaines boissons sont pas comprise alors que c’est écris sur leur carte, pas professionnelle de leur part, à la limite de l’escroquerie et du vol, à partir de 22h45 ils prennent leur temps pour nous servir pour que nous payons plus.
