Rodeway Inn

I chose this hotel based on the close proximity to the events my wife and I attended Saturday, March 5th 2022. I was completely disgusted by the condition of the property, and my room. It was gross… Really gross. Upon arrival there was trash, and cigarette butts littering the entry area. As soon as we opened the door to the hotel we were blasted by the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Check in went pretty smooth and the attendant was friendly enough. However I didn't realize that they added a 3% charge for credit cards. My fault for not thoroughly reading through the terms and conditions. That being said, I was mostly under the impression that cash was a thing of the past in hotels. The ones we normally stay with at least. Hell didn’t even need to show ID let alone my vehicle model or plate number. Perhaps I should’ve asked for an hourly rate. After check in we proceeded down the corridor to our room which was the last room from the entrance on the main floor. The smell of dumpster, stale beer, smoke, and piss only got stronger the further we walked down the hallway. Upon entering the room I found a used cup behind the toilet, the shower floor was gross, and the non slip surface was mostly black. Nasty yellow goo on the phone receiver, stained towels & bedding, with something white and crusty on the bed skirt. I'll leave that up to your imagination as to what it was. For my own sanity I'll just keep thinking it was toothpaste. The floor wasn’t swept nor vacuumed. Dirt, hair, and other debris in the corners of the tiled floor areas. The room was so drafty that I noticed curtains were moving from the wind outside. I thought perhaps the window was left open a crack. Nope!! There was a cutoff end of a broomstick holding it shut. The towels did come in handy to block the smells coming in from the one inch gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. There was constant noise coming from all directions; outside our window, the hallway, and upstairs. People yelling and screaming the entire night!!! Not like it was faint mumbles either, I could hear every-word! Unacceptable conditions all around.
