This hotel was OK to stay at, but the management was horrible. Staff was wonderful and treated us very good, we had booked a tour on Saturday to go, snorkelling with star tours their company there, but the weather changed on Sunday so we could not go out it was very windy, extremely choppy and raining, so we put it off to the next day. The weather had not changed, on the third day, the water was still very choppy and windy. There was a couple that tried to get their money back, and they refused to pay their money back so they went out on the tour anyhow, as they were leaving the island the next day. We were due to leave on Thursday, and we had wanted to do other things on the island other than sit around and waiting to take a snorkel tour, we asked for a refund and they refused to give it to us. I had talked to other tour companies that told me when the weather is not permitted that they give you 100% refund. I talked to the manager and she refused to give us any money back after arguing with her for sometime she forced me to write and sign a piece of paper and gave me $25 US out of 100, my friend had paid $100 as well and as far as I’m concerned they politely ripped us off so converting it to US is 100 Canadian is $130. I was very upset about it and argued with the lady who didn’t give a care about it, I would not recommend taking star tours and paying upfront because if the weather is bad, you’ll never get your money back she treated us badly as well as the pool was a slimy green. We couldn’t swim in it and nobody would want to after watching all the chemicals, they were trying to dump into it to change the colour of the water. It was not a good experience, and I would never stay there again for those reasons our room was old nothing fancy, but it was clean. We had no screens on our windows or door so we could never open them. I feel if you can’t deliver. The goods at the customer should get 100% refund. I noticed on the third day they were taking pictures of the water water the calmer areas and taking pictures of the people leaving on the boat, to make it look good, but trust me, the water was really rough and me not being a good swimmer, I could never have done the tour anyhow was way too choppy for a snorkel tour customers beware don’t pay tours upfront until you’re sure you’re going in the weather is permit Able because you’ll never get your money back. This manager should be working somewhere else because she’s got no respect for what the customer think or feel and she’ll never give you your money back once she’s got it in her hand.
