La Roccia Wellness Hotel Cavalese Trentino

Could not have asked for anything better! The suite was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable, and being able to soak in the heated pool after a snowboarding session is pure luxury! As a vegetarian, I often struggle for decent meals, but there were more than enough options on both the standard menu and the daily one that meant I wasn't eating the same thing over and over. The food itself was imaginative and well-executed, and my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again on a return to Cavalese.

The wellness and spa area is relatively small compared to other wellness hotels in the same region. Most importantly, the saunas and steam rooms are only accessible for free after 5pm (before 5pm, you have to pay an extra fee of over 100 EUR), which is totally unacceptable to my mind. The swimming pool, although accessible from 10 am, is so tiny that swimming in it is practically impossible. My room was tiny and in desperate need of refreshing. Products in the room were of poor quality and the shower so small you could hardly turn around in it. Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money. There are much better options in Trentino-Alto Adige (Südtirol).

The warmest pool in the Alps/Dolomiti! It is indoor/outdoor infinity pool with magnificent view. None other hotel offers that warm water and that view. It is just a blast. The staff is VERY nice and friendly, local gin is very good, and the room is clean. It is an older hotel with a huge recent upgrade. The breakfast is solid. I cannot say much about the dinner, as we do not want to eat at 7.30PM. It is Italy and it is their way of living, but it does not work for us.

Absolute Gem of a family-owned hotel with an outstanding cult of hospitality to spend a couple’s or family week-end mixing exhilarating outdoor activities and pure indulgence at the Spa for Aufguss session, swimming pool with infinity pool, cold plunge… Absolutely recommend any time of the year

Spent only one night here during March with my partner after a day on slopes. Had a junior suite, good and comfy, very wood based, fabulous whirlpool colourful bath. Hotel had great pool facilities, nice to chill after a hectic day. Staff very kind and friendly, all very clean, breakfast adequate. Would stop again

There is no way you can stand such a bad food experience…in a 4-star hotel! Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, Dolci…everything was mediocre or very bad, too much salt, or too little salt, or an ugly presentation, you name it…worst of all pasta was ALWAYS over-over-over cooked! Is that the way pasta is supposed to be cooked in Trentino, in Italy, or anywhere in the world? My husband told them, constructively, we were thinking they would at least apologize and admit their mistakes that can happen, the usual "customer care" basically, nothing more. We were totally wrong! We were told - instead and unbelievably - that we were not “able to understand” their way of cooking…yes, we were not able to understand!!! I believe we sent back to the kitchen 80% of the dishes, literally untouched, and there is no better way to understand, for someone cooking very bad food, than seeing 80% of the food being thrown away…instead of believing that paying customers do not understand. What is to understand in over cooked pasta for 7 days in a row? Or what is to understand in dishes with 3 times the salt you need in a decent dish? What is to understand in waiting over 10 minutes to order for a bottle of water (sold at over 5 euro per liter...)? Having been in hundreds of hotels and restaurants of all kinds (either local, global, mountain, sea, lake, etc.) it is the very first time we were told we “Do not understand” the food and/or the way it is cooked/served…unbelievable! What kind of customer care is that? They tell you that you went to their home, and that you did not understand, they forget you rented a room and you paid for it...how about having some respect for paying customers in your hotel? We don't stay for free, we are not your friends, we pay to receive decent food, if we don't like your food the last thing you can say is that we do not understand, unless you are so full of yourself...that you don't even know the basics of education. The rating I give you is then poor for one reason only: when customers don't like something, never tell the customers they do not understand, as they might understand more than you do, and you are missing the opportunity to improve yourself and your business. If you had shown some respect for our opinion, you would have gotten a much better rating (or no rating at all), but I am pretty sure you don't care, and I am also pretty sure your reply will show that you don't care, as being humble is surely not part of you...at all...
