I made my reservation for 3 nights via *********** and as such paid for the room a few days before arrival and received confirmation the payment was successful. When I arrived, I discovered they don’t speak a word of English, which is fine being in Italy, however they refused to check me in because they were adamant I hadn’t paid. I used google translate, showed them email confirmation AND the money coming out of my account and they still wanted to pay another €140. After I refused to pay, the man told me to sit and wait, at which point I called through to *********** to try and get help. They tried to call the hotel to sort it out for me 3 times and all 3 times, the man hung up on them. After about 40 mins, another man turned up, turned on the computer, and immediately confirmed he could see I had paid and showed me to a room. (The first man never touched the computer to check). When I got to the room had no windows, was dirty, dated and the plug socket cover was hanging off the wall. It was so dreadful looking and the original man was so nasty that I chose not to stay and walked back out again, cancelling the reservation. There are much nicer hotels in the same area for a little more and they are so much more welcoming than this place. Don’t put yourself through the stress staying here!
