Wow. Where do I start? Judging from the reviews, if you want a cream tea or a dinner, this place is quite good. If you want somewhere to stay, avoid this place like the plague. We booked this room quite late as we were working in the area and needed somewhere to crash for the night. Upon arrival, my colleagues, who were sharing a twin room were given their key, while the guy on the reception searched for my key. Eventually he found a key and gave it to me. I found my room and tried the key, which didn't even fit in the barrel. But as I tried to push the key in, the door pushed open. As I entered the room, the smell of damp was immediately apparent. As it was quite late, I decided I had no choice but to stay. There was an extension lead running from a socket in the room that went out through the window, which meant I could not close the window all night. There was an en suite so I decided to use that before I went to the bar. I opened the door and went to walk in and walked straight into a cobweb. Down in the bar, one of my colleagues had bought a drink and had taken a photo, which he showed me, of the drip tray under the berry cider. This tray had white mould spots in the liquid. We finished our drinks and retired.
