Very nice place

Everything was perfect. The bed was elegant and comfortable. The views of the vineyard and mountains so relaxing. The breakfast and staff were lovely and so helpful - in fact the manager helped us call our rental car company because of an accident that occurred at a previous hotel. He really went out of his way to help. I loved the Turkish bath in the room and our own hot tub overlooking the vineyard. The room was elegant and comfortable with enough closet space to stay a month if you wanted. We stayed two nights in early May so the pool wasn’t very warm yet but I enjoy cool water so it was refreshing while sitting in the sun enjoying the view. One day we enjoyed the lunch and wine tasting at the winery across the street. The wine was very good and the lunch was nicely paired with the tasting. We drove all around Sicily for nearly a month and this was one of the most relaxing and special stays.

The property has potential and the staff is trying hard but they are still at the very beginning: the first night the door was locked when we came back from a restaurant, no way in, it was 11 pm, dark and cold and we called the reception. After the sixth call we reached someone. Nice guy, said he will try to solve the problem and if he can’t he could come to the property in 15 minutes. Finally, after approx. 30 min my knocking at the door was heard by a hotel guest who left us in. Apologies followed next day and staff was very polite and actively approached us to apologize for that issue. The second night, we thought things would become good now, the next issues: worms between 2 and 5 cms in the room, on the floor and on the walls. We evacuated 15 of them. Not enough? When we came home in the evening, no water in the room. water pump defect, no water (I mean no water at all on the whole property) until next morning. OMG. Problem was solved the next morning at 8 am. Hotel offered drinks and aperetivo for free. The third night: when we arrest the hotel after visiting Taormina, it was 7 pm or so, we parked our car at the (not yet ready built) parking area and noticed that a car (it turned out to be the owner‘s car) was blocking the stairways that one had to use when leaving the parking lot. Trying to pass the car, I misstepped and hurt my ankle so that we could not visit the etna the next day. Again staff was very sorry and very concerned the next day but the owners were not available for a discussion. Finally we were offered one free night out of four for all the trouble. This is all very disappointing and the hotel has some potential but I am afraid they are not yet there. With the present owners, which are not present at the property, they may never get there.

An opportunity to simply be. If you need to get away from the stress of contemporary living, this could be your place to come to. It’s a new B&B built on a family vineyard that’s over 100 years old. The B&B is just a year old and it looks and feels that way. Everything is essentially new. The grounds are spectacular. I’d like to bring the gardener that keeps the grounds to my homes in the United states. Tranquility abounds here. You can hear nothing if you want to and it sounds delightful. They do not have a restaurant on the property but the breakfast is wonderful with good service as well. There are several common area for your enjoyment and each has its own uniqueness. All are inviting. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. That includes the bathrooms which are a treat in Europe. Getting here can be a challenge as it’s located in the countryside and driving to it is for people who are good drivers. The roads are narrow like they are say up in Taormina. All in all, I would highly recommend this place for a peaceful vacation where you can talk to God if you want to. There shouldn’t be any interference with communications here. And, the WiFi works well too if you need it.

We stayed for 2 nights at this wonderful resort. The property was stunning, so peaceful and relaxing. The entire staff was amazing and accommodating to all our needs. We also had massages by Concetta, would highly recommend. With the winery across the street it is the perfect location.

Gorgeous location and accommodations, we only stayed one night. Wish we could have stayed longer since this was one of the prettiest places we've been. Overlooking the vineyards with Mt. Etna in the distance was very special. The included breakfast was excellent with homemade cakes. Having wine in the winter garden was such a treat after a long day. It was too cool in April, for us to use the pool, but the setting was gorgeous.
