Villa di Capovento

Our 2nd stay here after a 6 year gap and it was just as wonderful as our first visit. Ettore and Stella create a warm and beautiful environment and you have complete freedom to either stay at the property and relax, take amazing hikes or drive around the beautiful Tuscan countryside. As per our last visit, we ate at Capovento each night and enjoyed fantastic food with local ingredients. We are already planning our next trip to Italy in 2025 and that will definitely incorporate spending more time at this beautiful home.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Capovento. Stella is the perfect hostess--alway son hand yet not at all intrusive as we relaxed in the various areas of the Villa. Ettore's fabulous dinners were a highlight with multiple entrees and starters to choose from and a new menu each night. The rooms were homey and comfortable. Plenty of room for our belongings. The shower isn't the most modern but it sufficed and didn't detract from our stay in the least. Olive oil shampoo, body wash and lotion from Capovento's own olives were provided. Fluffy towels, comfortable beds with daily maid service. We enjoyed cocktails on the patio in the evenings and had a wine tasting with cheese, bruschetta and meat pairings provided by Stella one night before dinner. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruits, fruit juice, homemade yogurt with honey and preserves, bread, and eggs any way you like. This is such a beautiful and peaceful property--you can literally experience moments of complete silence. We look forward to returning to Villa Capovento and bringing friends to enjoy this special place.

The place is very nice, but it's the hospitality of Stella and Ettore that really makes it fabulous. Stella is the primary contact and she was always there to attend to our needs. It appears to be an adults only place - terrific! Breakfast is cooked to order and excellent. We ate dinner there each night and it was excellent as well. There are places to sit and unwind throughout. The pool was 27 degrees and there were plenty of chaises and umbrellas. Our balcony room was nice and the balconny's view extraordinary. It's a bit pricey (1200 for 3 nights and 3 dinners) but you get what you pay for. We heartily recommend!
