This beautiful property is a part of an old 16th century farm situated on the top of one of hills West of Castellina in Chianti. Casa Virginia has no stairs and you can walk straight to your private garden. It is furnished with genuine Tuscan country antiques and pictures some of which have been exihibited in the British Royal Academy. A wonderful place for an artist. The site has a marvellous view over endless rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves and is truly unique. Friends of its owners say the view is absolutely breathtaking on arrival. An Olympic size swimming pool plus childrens pool and tennis court is about 150 metres away at the other end of the grounds. There is easy access to Siena 12km and to Florence 48km by car on a free motorway or by local train. The train is a very relaxing way to make day visits. (EinBauernhaus nur 6 km von hier auf einem Huegel mit grossartiger Aussicht). Castellina is 6km away with excellent shops and food and first class restaurants! The whole area is full of the most marvellous restaurants. The house has its own garden offering privacy and an outdoor dining area with an incredible view of the surrounding countryside. The property faces West. Sunset with the sun sinking over the hills forty miles away or dawn with mist rising over the towers of San Gimignano are memorable. Look at the breakfast picture. We have Wfi & SatTV. Wild life abounds as the area is protected and the woods around are full of various type of deer, wild boar, porcupines, red squirrels even in the garden, hares, all can be seen from time to time. Where else can you be swimming in a pool a watch a Golden eagle, or see a Pregrine Falcon hunting? The whole farmstead dating from the 16th century was bought in 1986 by its current owner and others and converted into seven private houses. The surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained by our own gardener employed by the condominium. We also employ an estate manager and a housekeeper. On arrival the rooms are all ready with towels and beds prepared. The estate has a full Olympic size swimming pool and a smaller safety pool for children. There is a well maintained hard tennis court and a boules court. (Riesiger Swimmingpool mit Sprungbrett und Tennisplatz laden zur Erfrischung und zum Sport ein). Our house Casa Virginia was the original milking parlour and grain store. The property is all on one floor with two steps (9inches) down from the kitchen into the dining room, and one smaller step (5inches) into the principle bedroom. There are no staircases, useful if you are slightly impaired. All rooms are spacious with two of the bedrooms having doors directly into the garden. There is one step down (7inches) into the garden. The old grain store is now a splendid sitting room with high ceilings and an open Tuscan fireplace that may be used in winter. There is good central heating for winter stays Although a quiet and secluded location, it is only 7 km to the highway exit and 6km to the local train station that can take you to Siena or Florence. Siena itself is 12km away via the autostrada a twenty minute drive. The interior is well fitted with three beautiful marble bathrooms attached to each bedroom. The kitchen has a gas electric cooker and there is a large fridge and freezer. Cutlery etc is prepared for seating up to eight persons. Casa Virginia has its own private vineyard and makes its own wine. Although a part of a large farmstead Casa Virginia has its own garden that is secluded and not seen by other residents. It is also farthest from the swimming pool and tennis court and not disturbed by noise, all in all a lovely family house as used for the last 29 years by the family. You will not be disappointed! Yes you must have a car and be prepared to drive along unmade roads. We have WiFi that works but is not entirely satisfactory (family OK but business needs care) as we are deep in the countryside.. We offer a 10% discount on rental rates for booking of two weeks, 12% for 3 weeks or discuss longer booking cost. On arrival the house is prepared cleaned and beds made. Towels provided The kitchen has easy access from BBQ outside or the dinning table so service is a pleasure! Wonderful stay here. View from garden is beautiful over rolling hills for sunsets. Pool is magnificent and set on ridge with 270 degree views, quite something in the evening. Pool and tennis shared with 3-4 other families but pool is big enough to cope with that. Fans in rooms just about make up for no air con, was 37 when we were there. Communication with Ian and Jacky was great. 5-10mins drive up unmade road very dusty but not too bumpy. Serena cooked for us one night which was really good. Castellina lovely with lots of restaurants. 20-30mins drive to Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni, all amazing.

We have spent a fabulous 10 days with our 3 kids at Le Bagnaie. The house is a real jewel, the view from the terrace absolutely unique and the resort with its gardens, historic walls, pool (quote our kids “best private pool ever seen”) and tennis court is just amazing - the perfect place to relax! The house has a real historic flair and is perfectly equipped - don’t expect full 2025 technical standard but we really did not miss anything. Strong and stabile W-LAN appears to be a general issue at Le Bagnaie. If we would express one tiny wish: new garden furniture would bring the cherry to the cake for this amazing house.Le Bagnaie is an excellent spot to discover the wonderful towns and villages in the surrounding with all its cultural goods, restaurants and shops. Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are easy to reach. Castellina in Chianti was our next door favorite. But you will definitely need a car - next village (with shops/restaurants) about 15min drive. The dirt roads that connect to Le Bagnaie and other resorts are a bit of an adventure - don’t come with a freshly polished car ;-) It was also a pleasure to meet the resort manager who very nicely welcomed us and the local gardener who passed by for a chat here and then and brought fresh homegrown vegetables from Le Bagnaie garden. Direct email contact with the house owner was also very pleasant and helpful. We would have loved to stay longer and will certainly come back! 10 out of ten! Reality even better than pictures!

PARADISE IN TUSCANY I can’t give enough stars to this fabulous home! The accomodations were great- great communication with host. We had this as home base for 10 days… a local chef named Serena is available to hire if you book early enough. She prepared three amazing dinners for us! the courtyard in back with the vista of Tuscany was amazing. Miles and miles of vineyards, estates, beautiful gardens. Please book here if you have the chance, a visit of a lifetime!

Lovely Stay, but VRBO listing is incomplete. We felt a bit misled by the listing. It wasn’t disclosed that WiFi was sporadic at best; nonexistent at worst. The delightful “living room” with the “fireplace” shown in the photos, was in a detached building, completely unusable in March. We also had a 100 weekly fuel charge that wasn’t disclosed. But the view from the patio over the Tuscan Hills was spectacular, especially as Spring arrived. DO have Serena cook dinner for you! She is a treasure! 100 for

Wonderful view, lovely home Wonderful Stay. Incredible view. Outstanding! It is worth to stay there, just for the view over Tuscanny. The complete complex is wonderful, the swimming pool fantastic. The pictures don’t illustrate How beautiful it is. It is not easy to find on the map. As we had temperatures above 36 every day, we missed aC in the rooms. But our kids handled it quite well.

A week in Chianti This is wonderful property in the Chianti area with breathtaking views from the terrace. It is also near to many interesting places to visit in the day. The property gardens and shared pool are excellently maintained and it makes for a restful holiday with nothing wanting.
