Hotel Ristorante Cascia

Utterly appalling service at the restaurant! This is not how you treat people! And this is absolutely not how you treat customers who want to leave their money at your business! 02 May 2025, around 2:00 PM lunchtime. We are a family of 2 adults and an 8-year-old child who was in a wheelchair at this time due to a twisted ankle. Sat down at the front patio to have something good to eat. The table was set for 6, but there was just another family on the other side having a meal with plenty of room for other customers. A middle-aged lady with dark hair came out after a few minutes and, with an attitude, divided the tables into 2. That was fine with us since we could manage around 1 table. She did not bring a menu and just left. We started to read the menu that was posted on the wall and chose our dishes, so i went inside looking for service. Inside, there were a few tables taken, and the guests were being served. After another 5 minutes, a younger employee came out and told us to leave because the restaurant is closed. No apology, no reason for lack of service, nothing. Just a very rude order to leave their place. Was it because we were Polish, or was it because we had a child in a wheelchair, or maybe both? Extremely bad experience that did not ruin our visit to Cascia. We drove to Assisi and had a fabulous service and a meal there. Avoid at all costs, as there are many places around that will treat you with respect! Italy is amazing!

Ristorante centralissimo a Cascia, con parcheggio annesso molto comodo. Vicinissimo il centro storico raggiungibile a piedi, con la famosa basilica che ospita il corpo di Santa Rita, il Monastero etc. Il Ristorante offre una selezione di piatti tipici del territorio ben cucinati e presentati. Buone le materie prime, ottimi i dolci preparati da loro. Prezzi onesti e personale gentilissimo (soprattutto il giovane e simpatico ragazzo che ci ha aiutato ad orientarci nel nostro percorso di visita del paese) e attento faranno della vostra permanenza una gradevolissima esperienza. Torneremo sicuramente a trovarvi.

Fortunatamente siamo stati qui solo una notte , abbiamo scelto la formula pensione completa , iniziamo dalle stante , vetuste e fatiscenti per niente pulite piene di polvere e prive di ogni comfort, i pasti davvero pessimi , solo l antipasto formato da 3 fette di salumi del posto era mangiabile , servizio poco professionale e il personale davvero musone e poco gentili , addirittura a colazione siamo scesi verso le 8 erano finiti i cornetti e il buffet era quasi vuoto abbiamo chiesto al personale che ci ha risposto di aver fatto 70 cornetti ed erano finiti , ma se la colazione e' dalle 7 alle 9 devo poter avere a disposizione tutto invece ci siamo quasi sentiti in colpa per essere scesi alle 8. In generale un posto dove non tornerei, in tanti anni qui non ho mai trovato tanta scortesia, consiglio di pulire più a fondo le camere per offrire ai pellegrini che vengono da lontano il giusto riposo e di cucinare cose semplici ma di qualità
