I stayed here for 5 nights and extended to 6 due to a delayed flight home to the UK. I had the 2 floored studio with the balcony onto the main street. This was in a great location for everything, and I always try and choose somewhere with a bit of outdoor space, this had a balcony which was shared but I never saw anyone else on it. Other people have mentioned noise... There is no denying that this is a very noisy location, Cartagena seems to be a 22 hour a day city, it does go a bit quieter between 4am and 6am. The aircon did drown some of the noise out, but I can sleep through anything, but if you are a light sleeper this may not be the place for you. There is a spiral staircase (which does move quite a lot), and I was not going to try and get my large suitcase up it so I left it downstairs and took what I needed up with me. Not an issue for me, just an observation. The pool area was very nice, there wasnt a lot of shade up there during the day but early and late it was nice. I cannot speak highly enough of all members of staff that I interacted with, everyone was very helpful, from arriving at 11pm at night to meet me, to extending my stay twice due to flight issues. It feels very secure as you have to be buzzed into and out of the place every time. But... at the same time, this made me feel like I couldn't come and go as I pleased particularly in the evenings. There was a slight dely on the door unlocking after they had pressed the button, which however much I knew was the case, I still tried to open it too early every time. I know that wasn't just me as I heard someone else doing it too !! The instructions are all in spanish so maybe it says "dont touch the door yet !" or something. In my opinion a smart lock or keyfob would be a better solution, this could be linked to a motion detected camera in the lobby ? Stay here if you're going to Cartagena and you can tolerate a bit of atmospheric noise.
