«Está cerca de la calle de comida de Melbourne. El hotel es el primer restaurante rojo neto aquí. Desafortunadamente, no me gusta la comida occidental y no me gusta divertirme. Según mi observación, hay pocos hoteles extranjeros esperando en la fila para comer, por lo que las instalaciones alrededor del hotel están completas. Vale la pena quedarse. Especialmente los amigos que conducen solos.»

«La habitación es grande, la cama no es pequeña, no hay problema para dos adultos y un niño. El hotel está un poco alejado del centro de la ciudad, pero para aquellos de nosotros que nos gusta medir la ciudad con pasos, no solo caminamos hasta Chinatown, sino también hasta el mercado Wei Ma (un taxi cuesta unos 10 dólares australianos, llamado Didi 8 dólares australianos). El motivo del vuelo al hotel es muy temprano y no es posible realizar el check in temprano. Esto no es tan flexible como los hoteles nacionales, que es muy común en Australia.»

«I had a reasonable stay at Carlton Lygon Lodge. The biggest positive is the location, which is very hard to beat. Right on Lygon Street (but at the, somewhat, quieter end) and just a 10-min walk to Brunswick/Fitzroy. The accommodation itself is okay, but could definitely be better. The room smelt quite a lot, for one. The decor is also pretty dated. And it was noisy late into weekend nights due to passing traffic (so I needed to wear my noise-cancelling headphones to get to sleep). The price is quite reasonable though and the staff are friendly and helpful, so this place could be a good option if you want a great location, plan to be out most of the time, and want to save on costs.»

«When we arrived to check in, we couldn't get into our allocated room because the key card wasn't working and so we were upgraded to a bigger room which was good. When we arrived inside, the rooms were clean and all made up well. So that was good. My criticisms are that they were very stingy with the toiletries, shower wash, shampoo etc and also damage that was visible in the apartment had been patched up with duc tape, for eg the edge of a kitchen bench or just left, like swollen timber trim in the bathroom or damage to walls , carpet etc. In all , it was quite cheap and well located near the CBD and we only stayed a night and so it served its purpose. However I feel if the damage was repaired properly, and there were proper toiletries, it would have been a much better experience .»

«Great location. Right in the heart of the city. If you like to walk it takes 15-20 minutes to get to everything in the city. Staff are very helpful and polite. Access to washing machine and dryer for 5 dollars. Also gym has decent cardio equipment and cable machine plus free weights. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Will definitely recommend.»

«I was honestly disappointed with my experience at this apartment. I booked for a whole week at this apartment, and on our second day in I explained to the reception that our fan for the shower and laundry wasn’t working. They had someone take a look twice; ans it wasn’t till my third reminder that they switched our room, and by that stage we only had 2 nights left of the week. They do not offer any kind of room service for the entire week. We did have a washing machine and dryer, so we were able to wash towels, but a quick service/offer to replenish or change any necessities would have been appreciated. Some of the items in the room really need replacing. Like the rusted bins and the rusting chairs on the balcony. The location is ‘okay’. If you only want food, chapel street in a short walk away. But if you want to be more central to the action, it’s a little far. Walk to Vic market about 7 mins, walk to Melbourne central about 11 minutes. If you’re taking public transport and carrying a lot of luggage, it’s not the most convenient place to get to. Besides the above, the room was comfortable and spacious. Out balcony was nice, but not much of a view, unless you like people watching (watching tenants in the building across from you) or being watched.»

«Amazing central location, great room, polite staff, clean room and area , even tho there’s a sharing bathroom. Please guys, since is winter in Melbourne, add a heater inside the room, cause it was freezing. Having a fan that gives only fresh air, on winter season, doesn’t make any sense. Thank you ! Great experience! Not recommended if you have a car. I had to pay 15$ extra for the parking.»
