The hotel room was disgustingly dirty, so I checked after one night. The bathroom had black mold in the shower. The water was cold. The walls and light switches were filthy and the linens did not seem clean. I also ordered food from the restaurant. The chicken and jollof rice were not cooked fresh. The rice was hard and crusty and the chicken was dry. It seemed that I had been served leftovers from a previous day. Breakfast was no better. The eggs were cold…I mean actually cold to the touch, which leads me to believe that the food was pre-prepared,but the staff did not bother to warm it up. When I arrived, I was told I had to pay a 1000 cedis deposit, which I paid. When I checked out, the front desk clerk, Sylvia, informed me that she did not have cash for my refund of about 460 cedis. Supposedly, the accountant took all the cash with her and was not available, so I had to leave without my refund. I returned several days later to the hotel. Again, the desk clerk did not have cash on hand for my refund. 😡
