Ahr Baja Hotel & Spa Cannigione

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in August 2024 with my wife and daughter, opting for a bed & breakfast package. We booked a superior room that came with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. The hotel was spotless and modern throughout. The breakfast buffet offered both hot and cold options, including a wide variety of fruit, cereal, bread, pastries, and eggs & bacon. We spent several days by the pool, and there was always plenty of space to find sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool bar provided excellent bar and snack service, available from around noon until about 7 PM. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful. The town of Cannigione was a delightful surprise. It has a charming harbor area that’s popular with yacht owners, and the nearby beach was lovely, with warm, crystal-clear water and not too many crowds. There are plenty of dining options in town, though I’d recommend making a reservation if you plan to eat out between 8 PM and 9 PM. I would definitely love to return.

We had a reservation for this hotel, for 6 nights, from 27.06 to 03.07.2024 and we paid 1500Euro for one room, for two adults and one child. We had to book two different flights so we can reach Sardinia. Our first flight was heavily delayed, so when it became obvious that we will not be able to catch the second flight, we called the hotel to inform about our ruined holiday and ask them to refund us at least partially. We told them we understand if they can not reimburse us 100%, we told them our flight number so they can check our flight was indeed delayed and we lost the second flight. The next available flight was on next Tuesday, so it was not an option. They didn't care about our situation and they kept all 1500euro we paid, even we were not able to get to the hotel and we didn't use not even one minute their services. So, my advice to you is to avoid this hotel because if they behave like this in this situation, probably they will behave the same or worst, if you are accommodated there and you need their help.

This hotel was so lovely and welcoming and is in a great location for both the shore/ marina and the town. The staff were friendly and very helpful and brought us extra pillows when we asked. It was spotless. Car parking was very welcome. We didn’t eat there so cannot comment on the food. Pool was very clean, with a friendly but attentive attendant there at all times. Air conditioning was very welcome. The only downside was that our room was quite small, so not the best place to spend a lot of time in whilst there was a heatwave outdoors.

We had an amazing time here for our honeymoon. The room is quite basic but clean. Tv in room, although we did not use and small fridge which is handy. We had a lovey welcome with a bottle of fizz for our honeymoon, which was a lovey touch. The staff are amazing and are so welcoming. We are a interracial couple and so it is always important to us that we are treated the same which I can certainly say we was. The receptionists are very knowledgeable about the local area and we had some great recommendations for food and for places to visit. Marco and jordanna at the bar were so lovely and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel as there are so many places local and so I cannot comment on this. There are lots of restaurants near by and perfect location. Right inbetween Porto cervo and Palau. We found it really helpful getting a car as we were able to travel round and see the sights. The only reason why I have put as 4 stars is the noise. We were situated at side of hotel. There is bar opposite that plays music to around 2-3am on fridays and saturdays. This really affected my husbands sleep as he is light sleeper. Also church bells do ring quite early in the mornings. I would recommend asking for a quiet room by the pool if you stay. The staff really made our stay and cannot thank them enough!

I stayed at this property for 7 nights at the end of May. It was absolutely amazing. The hotel staff could not be more welcoming, helpful, friendly and accommodating. A very big THANK YOU to Stefania at the reception, Marco at the bar and the hotel manager Giuliano for making my stay unforgettable. You guys, and the hotel itself, exceeded my expectations! What a fantastic team! I had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking a pool and the mountains (Thank you Stefania ;-). It was cleaned daily to a very high standard. I had a double bed which was very comfortable. The pool itself is massive, with over 60 sun loungers around it, conveniently spaced so you don't feel like you are on top of each other. There is also a jacuzzi available in the pool area which I highly recommend. There is a very charming lifeguard who, apart from looking after the safety, provides everyone with towels. Next to the pool, there is a bar and you can enjoy drinks and light and very delicious salads, toasts and sandwiches if you wish to. At this property, you will also find a spa. I haven't used it but I have been shown around and it looked really nice. The nearest supermarket is 5 min away and the beach (super clean!) is 7-10 min away if you are walking. There is a lovely marina there as well where you can enjoy a nice coffee. Cannigione and the hotel itself are perfect for people who like quiet and peaceful holidays. If you are after a good rest in the beautiful surroundings, ARH Baja Hotel & Spa should be your first choice. I strongly recommend staying at this property and I definitely will when I visit Sardinia next time. Thank you again for an amazing holiday.
