Appart Hotel Residence

Old broken establishment that hasn't been updated in years. Our apartment had a busted toilet seat, a front door which didn't shut properly, exposed electric wires from a broken wall socket. A hob with only two rings working. A rusty old fridge which is due to clap out any time now. A bathroom which continually floods because something is radically wrong with the plumbing. No kettle even to get hot water for a cup of tea. The outside umbrellas are literally falling apart and all the paving stones around the whole complex are in drastic need of replacing. This place is a joke. Our room interior was furnished probably 50 years ago. There aren't even bed side tables with a reading lamp. We got some of this sorted but the owners just don't have a clue. Massive TLC is needed here and lots of investment to bring it into the 21st century. Until then it should be shut down. I doubt it would be allowed to trade if this so called hotel existed in the UK. Don't let the pretty photos of the pool and palm trees fool you.

Non avendo mai visitato la Sardegna, mi sono affidata ai consigli di amici e familiari. Villasimius ha “vinto”. Poi dovevo decidere dove stare. Non avevamo voglia di noleggiare l’auto (ERRORE) e pensavamo che potessimo raggiugnete il centro del paese in qualche modo (camminando)… allora. Il residence è in un posto strategico, Sergio, il proprietario, ci ha aiutato tantissimo, anche prima di partire xke ha organizzato il transfer. Il posto è ad un’ora in macchina dall’aereo porto di Cagliari. L’appartamento era pulito, con tanto di cucinino e un belissimo balcone da cui si poteva vedere il mare!!! Sergio ci ha dato una cartina e ha detto che se volevamo, ci avrebbe aiutato a noleggiare biciclette. La spiaggia di Campulongu è a meno di 400 m… bella, proprio bella! L’acqua cristallina, come nelle cartoline! Unici problemi: il centro è a 23 min a piedi, sotto il sole anche dopo le 7d sera non era una gioia. So che Sergio ci avrebbe pure organizzato il transfer li, ma non volevamo disturbare. L’appartamento residence ha una piscina, 4 giorni su5 eravamo solo noi. Raccomando il posto. So we haven’t been to Sardinia before so I asked friends and family and narrowed down to Villasimius. Before going there, Sergio the owner, helped us booking the transfer from the airport which is an hour away. Many people told us to rent a car but we were only there for 5 days so we thought we could get around by foot. We did but we wished we had thought about it better. I know if we asked Sergio he would have sorted out a taxi ride to town but we didn’t want to bother (only 25 min by foot). The residence is 400 m away from the beach and what a stunning beach! The apartment itself was fine, perfect for us with a kitchen area and a beautiful balcony. We spent the mornings at the beach and then the afternoon at the pool which was mostly just for us! Highly recommend the residence and the area!
