Lovely family run hotel in a wonderful location. Myself and my girlfriend originally booked the local campsite but after a look at the weather for our weekend, (33mph gusts) We decided on some comfort at the local hotel. Rona, was very accommodating. Our room was perfect with a view of the sea. We had our dinner with two friends in the bar of the hotel. Food was delicious, there was a cosy atmosphere with the fire on. We had 3 great nights in Carradale. The hotel is very close to the beach with lots of lovely walks nearby. We attended the local music festival on the Saturday which was great fun. Rona made us to order a delicious cooked breakfast a couple of the days. Five stars will definitely be back.

We didn't actually get in the hotel to stay but what we saw was disgusting we arrived early check in time is 4 with hopes of a cup of tea wasn't allowed in rooms were not ready. My husband saw a woman and said this is not what we expected so return home 150miles . Upon checking my phone I found confirmation of our booking 3days late and £190plus original £95 taken from bank account- disgraceful

The website for this property makes it sound very attractive but in reality it needs a massive amount of work doing on it. A lot of the woodwork is rotting, the garden is over grown and the driveway and paths are full of weeds. All the public rooms were dark and depressing. The bedroom was acceptable but again needs a lot of work doing especially the bathroom. The only reason I have given this an average rating is because of the welcoming and the quality of the food, both delivered by the same person. She also serves behind the bar, does all the cooking, all the housekeeping and seems to be the only person who works there. She said her daughter helps but we never saw her.

It was lovely being back in Carradale again, the place of my childhood holidays. Had stayed at the Carradale Hotel last summer and it was wonderful being back. The room was great with stunning views of Arran. Rhona and Cara work so hard and go out their way to make you feel welcome. The food is absolutely delicious. Dinner and breakfast both superb. A visit here is highly recommended when visiting Kintyre. Thank you again.

My partner and I stayed in October and really enjoyed it. The owners (a mother and daughter) were really pleasant and always ensuring we had everything we needed. Really nice rooms, great wee bar with pool table, and the food was a particular highlight, cooked by the owners themselves, one of the best meals we've had recently. Will definitely go again.

The room had fantastic views. The two proprietors were very friendly. The hotel has a large area that looks abandoned. Portion size is enormous in the restaurant. I hope that this hotel survives. Carradale deserves more visitors

We were staying the local campsite , a short walk in to the village.The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly and a great meal. We stayed for a few drinks in the bar and again first class service. Good local knowledge

I had a wonderful two night stay with my son (10) at the Carradale hotel. We had a lovely room with very comfortable facilities and the food at breakfast and dinner was fantastic. We ate in the hotel both nights. Fell in love with Kintyre and will definitely be back. This place is a gem

Brilliant hotel - comfortable rooms and really good food. Such a warm welcome. Rona and Cara really do go the extra mile. Due to a medical emergency we stayed longer than we had booked for. Looked after like we were family, nothing was too much trouble, can't thank them both enough. Looking forward to going back to this lovely place.
