I stayed at this location with my family in August 2023, and I must express my dissatisfaction with the experience. My father wrote a review after our visit, and I am deeply troubled by the response from Francois, who made inaccurate and disparaging remarks about our family. Francois's behavior towards us was unprofessional and unwelcoming. Whenever we approached the reception for advice, such as restaurant recommendations or directions, Francois's responses were consistently blunt and rude. It felt as though there was a personal bias against us. We paid thousands to stay here for our summer holiday. It is shocking that Francois mentions communication prior to our stay given that my father struggled to get ahold of reception and the sheer volume of emails mostly related to him following up after a few days of no response. Contrary to her claims about noise, we only played music from an iPhone on the first day, and it was at a very low volume. Despite this, the reception, located directly across from our villa, asked us to turn it down. We complied and did not play any music afterward. Our stay was marred by discomfort and poor service. Francois also charged my father for alleged damage to a bike, which is highly questionable given that my father, at 54 years old, would not misuse the bike. We primarily used the bikes to travel to town since the villa was quite remote. Although we requested a taxi service, it was not arranged. Instead, the staff kindly took us to town but Francois insisted we pay 20 euros for each trip, which lasted only five minutes. Overall, the service was unsatisfactory, and we felt unfairly treated throughout our stay.
