The Lake View Hotel

Wonderful place to stay when exploring Snowdonia. So close to the High Street and nearby restaurants, yet quiet and plenty of parking if you're driving and if not, the local bus service is at the front door. Amy & James run a great Hotel, importantly licensed so you can easily get a beverage at the end of an active day. Great cooked breakfast in the morning. Rooms are very comfortable with everything a weary traveller could expect. Certainly recommend The Lake View Hotel and exploring the Snowdonia region from a wonderful base camp.

Such a lovely stay at the Lake view; James and Amy were great hosts - professional, polite and so welcoming. It’s in a great location with walks from the door and a short stroll in to the village, plenty of free parking. The rooms are cosy and comfortable (the beds especially!) and the breakfast was delicious - highly recommend the apple and cinnamon porridge.

Our second weekend visit to the Lake View. Slept like a log in comfortable bed, followed by superb breakfast. Amy and James are friendly and professional hosts and gave great advice about the area and places to visit and dine. Also enjoyed a quiet couple of drinks there in the evening. Perfect location for exploring Snowdon and Anglesey.

I stayed at the Lake View Hotel for Ultra Trail Snowdonia. The hotel is about a mile from where the event village was this year. Amy and James were very welcoming. James taking my bags up for me and Amy taking me though the wheres and the hows of the Hotel and area. The room was great, bed was very comfortable and I had no trouble getting off to sleep despite my pre-race nerves. There is noise from the road outside but it gets quieter at night. It didn't affect my sleep. Food was delicious. I had a cooked breakfast on the second morning which was just what I needed after the previous day's race (as were the beers provided post race!) Unfortunately I didn't so so well in my race but the journey back home has given me time to think and I'll likely sign up again for 2026. I'd definitely be booking a room at the Lake View Hotel again as well.

Stunning accommodation, room was perfect, lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble. very clean and tidy. Car parking suitable, close to pub and a Great breakfast.. apple and cinnamon porridge is a must! Would highly recommend. Thank you

Comfy bed. Clean room and bathroom. Attentive and friendly hosts. Welcoming environment. Great location (close to both Llanberis and transport routes around the area! Amazing breakfast!!! I have no complaints regarding my stay here, and will definitely be back in the future! I highly recommend for any coming to the area!
