First Sun Holiday Park

We’ve just returned from our Easter holiday and our first stay at First Sun Holiday Caravan Park in Byron Bay — and what an incredible experience it was! We stayed in one of the cabins, and everything about our stay was absolutely fabulous. The park was beautifully maintained, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed. There was no drama, no fuss — just a genuinely enjoyable holiday surrounded by like-minded people all soaking up the Byron vibe. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. I wholeheartedly recommend First Sun to anyone looking for a laid-back, well-run spot to stay in Byron. We’re already looking forward to next year. See you then, First Sun!

We have a fantastic family holiday at First Sun Holiday Park. We had a two bedroom cabin that was spacious, neat and tidy. We enjoyed the location of being so close to the beach and town. The staff were professional and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

We are returning guests, and come here for the location, and stay in a cabin. Its all about the location for us, and the freinds that we meet up with here. The grounds are lovely, and there is good access to the beach. As for the cabins, this is what lets this park down, from our experience when it comes to enjoying the accommodation. The facilities at best within the cabin are minimal, I don't understand how the park has a 4 star rating. PROS: We like: Convenient Location, easy walk into town, and a nice cabin deck overlooking the ocean. CONS: Cabins are tired, kitchen is poorly equipped, no platters, or drinking/ wine glass variety. We tend to eat in a lot, so we BYO frypan, cheese platter, sharp knife, acrylic glasses for the deck, and bought an airfryer this visit, as could not work the old cooktop as the on off knob has no markings and really hit and miss to get it working. There is a BBQ but hard to keep it alight, also very old. Bathroom - shower dripped, no shower caddy, buildup of grime in places. One roll of toilet paper for nearly 4 week booking, no tissues, If you want clean linen after a week, ask for it. We have learned to just bring all the regular stuff you use at home as not a lot is suppllied in these cabins. If you are out a lot, and not cooking much, the cabins are adequate. If you are looking for more everyday amenities, just bring everything you think you will need. If security an issue for valuables/ cash, there is no room safe and the 'security screen' door does not lock. We travel extensively and have stayed in all manner of places. From our experience we would rate the accommodation 2 - 3 star maximum.
