knew of the dragonfly ( was once the butterfly ) as lived in burg st edmund’s 30 plus years ago we arrived with an open mind as having read some of the reviews on here they were poor simple review from us we loved it, we was attended a wedding saturday so booked friday evening to sun morn 2 nights, bed comfy , room clean , tea/coffee , milk , kettle provided , breakfast good , staff friendly & helpful , good check in , logged car in car park at reception for the parking permit ( avoids £100 ticket if you don’t book it in ) THE ONLY negative from our stay ! the room was dark, ( that’s only our opinion ) there was NO main ceiling light in room, there were bedside lamps, a good bright bathroom light & small light in corridor by bathroom but when you sat in the room itself it was dark / dull, reading was awkward tv didn’t brighten the room so IF criticism was needed about our stay i’d say put a main light in the room / rooms as don’t know what other rooms were like where the customer can choose to use it or not to enlighten the room better , we stopped in room 220 yes there’s building work going on but not at weekends we would 100% stay again ,
