Key-Oh Lodge

Nice two nights stay. Room was clean and everything worked. Check in and out was good. The room (205) was quiet, not much of a view. We were not advised of a seniors discount at check in but was given a room discount at checkout. Also no breakfast was offered and was not advised of a coupon offer for another restaurant breakfast. Pros: friendly staff, clean and quiet room, complimentary water Cons: poor wifi connection, no breakfast was offered just a sad looking beagle and fruit option. We would stay here again based on some other options in Burns Lake

From when I first stayed in the hotel to now. It has completely gone down hill. It is absolutely disgusting!! Stains all over carpets, hair all over the bathroom, pee in the toilet, smelled disgusting, hair all through the bed. The room was just filthy!!!

The first room I was put in was not clean. The bed had at least four small beetles in it. They were not bed bugs but it was some kind of infestation. The person at the front desk did put me in a different room which did not have this problem as far as I could tell, but they did not seem particularly concerned or apologetic about it. Overall, both rooms I was in were a bit run down. For example, the pillow cases were so worn they were ripped and had holes in them.

We stayed in 24 different properties during August 2023 on a driving trip from Minnesota to Alaska. Our primary criteria for evaluating a lodging property include cleanliness, sleep quality, price given the season, ease of luggage transfer and use, and wireless speed and security. Other plusses would include location and view, breakfasts, and availability of restaurants close by. We don’t watch TV so can’t tell you about the quality of service. Any that I rate a 4 is one I would definitely choose to stay in again. Key-Oh Lodge is a well-equipped, relatively new, and well-maintained property. Just off the lobby it has an excellent interactive display of First Nation information for guests to query. Everything related to sleep and facilities is what I expected to find.

Booked 2 rooms for a work trip weeks in advance arrived to find they only had 1 room available. We were told there is a hide a bed in the room for 2nd guest , when we went to our room found no hide a bed ! Where are we supposed to sleep! On top of that they were out of room keys so we had to ask front desk to let us in our room every time we wanted in! DO NOT STAY HERE!

This is by far one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever been in! Lots of hair all over the bathroom from previous guests - very gross. Stains on my bed sheets - looks like food (or body) stains. Looks very much like the sheets were never changed from previous guests. (They may have been, I don't know, but it LOOKS like they have not been)! If they were changed why use clean sheets with stains that won't come out - c'mon. There were 8" long red stains (catsup or blood) on the sheer part of the window curtains. Big black stains all over the carpet and filthy dirty - didn't want to take my shoes off. It was so bad I did not sleep under covers but opted to lay on top of bed fully clothed. All the walls - bedroom and bathroom - had something, at one time, running down them - you could see it if you caught it in a glare from a sidelight. When I called and made the reservation I specifically asked if they had laundry facilities we could use and were told "yes". When we got there their "laundry facilities" were offering to do a laundry load for us for $10 a load! They had a 'hot breakfast' in the morning - I tried one of their 'hot' cheese omelets - the cheese was still frozen solid in the middle! I would never stay here again - We stayed in room #222 and I have pictures to prove how horrible this place was!
