Who wants to stay in a hotel in the middle of nowhere? We did, after a long drive from Grand Junction CO on our way back to Kansas City. (Let's face it, once you leave Denver there aren't many hotel options with interesting attractions along I-70.) This Fairfield Inn, however, was a welcome surprise. The room was spacious, clean, and with (thankfully) a good TV setup. The comfy beds weren't too high, the cooling system worked great, there was ample room to spread out belongings, and the bathroom provided fluffy towels as well as lots of hot water with strong water pressure. The staff was pleasant. Access was easy on & off the freeway. Its location right next to a Love's Travel Center was handy for refueling the gas tank. The little "town" down the road offered a Pizza Hut and a McDonald's. We were satisfied!
