THE AREA: Bailey Peak Retreat is a 25-minute drive from downtown Asheville and its many bars, restaurants, arts, shopping, and live events. The surrounding area offers tons of outdoor activities and events to attend. Look for information ahead of time and remember that up in the mountains, cell service may be spotty. Stay safe! A portion of the walkway on the backside of the house was damaged by Hurricane Helene. Repairs are pending. The deck itself is completely safe (cleared by both a structural engineer and a geotechnical engineer), but please exercise caution when walking behind the house. The area is also sometimes visited by our wildlife neighbors, including bears, so please stay safe and keep an eye on the youngest travelers and furry family members! When you stay at Bailey Peak Retreat, you're covered for any accidents that might happen up to $3,000. The $42 charge listed as a "administrative fee" on your quote covers your purchase of $3,000 of "all risk" damage protection coverage on your rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a security deposit.
