Bude Holiday Resort

We stayed for 4 nights in February half term. We stayed in Duckpool 101. The lodge was immaculately clean considering it was somewhere we could take the dog. There was a little welcome pack for her including a blanket, toy, water pot and poo bags. The beds were comfortable and the linen was high quality and the bathrooms were very clean. The apartment was spacious and the decor was spot on. The location was ideal and the park was nice a quiet. The bar was a little underwhelming and cold in the evenings but the food and drinks were reasonably priced. We played pool and in the arcades and there was a lovely chap called Mark who was very chatty and happy 😊 Guest services were kind enough to lend me a hairdryer when I forgot mine. There are only a couple of things that could have made it better for us. The first is that the lodge needs blackout curtains in the bedrooms. The park is very well lit at night and the sunshine in the mornings woke us up earlier than we would have liked. The second is that the kitchen needs some more utensils. There was no tin opener and the knives were blunt. There weren't any baking trays either. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back ☺️

We have stayed here twice now for a few days over Christmas and couldn't recommend it more. The caravans are a really high standard, the park is small, quiet and well maintained. 5 minute walk through the field, and you are on the cliffs and a 5 minute drive, you are in town. There's a decent little bar on site, we ate there on our last visit and we were surprised at how good the food was and also the size of the portions. The chap running the bar was great as well, really friendly. The only slight negative, in my opinion would be the lack of a shop but as long as you stock up at the local Sainsbury's it's no problem. I think this site is excellent, it offers something a bit more refined than what some of the other big name holiday parks offer. We will 100% return, I can't wait.

Worst holiday park! I love Bude & we have had good stays in the past, however this time we arrived just as a groundworks team arrived to do ‘essential works’ for 4 weeks directly in front of our lodge. At one point after being out in the car, we came back to find the site worker parked in our space! We were not offered alternative accommodation & despite complaining & asking for a partial refund, we have had no response. The receptionist tried to be helpful & said she’d pass the message on, still no response. A restful week for over a grand on a building site! Also no chef at the Coastal Bar in June! Pretty dismal. Not coming back to Away Resorts in Bude again.

An outstanding, indulgent escape! We have just returned from a long weekend in Bude and have nothing but praise for the park. The team take feedback incredibly seriously and work incredibly hard to make your stay memorable. The stay was faultless. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean with clear attention to detail. The unit was incredibly well appointed with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The park itself if immaculately clean and also really quiet (in a positive way). This holiday park is not over commercialised and is perfect for a get away. Location wise, it's an easy walk into Bude and there is direct access to the SW Coast Path. The pool was warm and enjoyable and the staff were excellent. As soon as we entered the pool, a life guard asked if we'd like a lounger and quickly found us one and moved it to a spot for us. The three lifeguards were extremely diligent, constantly monitoring the pool. The lifeguard team were friendly and one lifeguard came to check on our little one after he swallowed some pool water. It was very clear they cared about their guests and their safety and enjoyment of the pool. That just leaves me to say a huge thank you to the Bude team. We are already looking at dates for our return visit!

Stopped here recently with family. Accommodation was spotless and everyone on park, from reception to cleaners to bar staff, were really polite and helpful. Park has a really nice vibe. Handy for Bude and the coast path, which is stunning even when the weather is not brilliant. Cannot fault the park in any way. Will be back.

Really nice resort and the lodge was perfect , the only thing that is missing is the lack of entertainment in the evening in the bar especially in the kids holidays. The outdoor heated pool was closed with it being October which was a shame. Your a 5 minute drive into the town which has plenty of shops, supermarkets , cafes and the beach is lovely.
