Mt Hay Retreat

Absolutely a must visit if you need the peace and quiet around you, 10 minutes away from Berry and picturesque 360deg views. The heated swimming pool is beautiful, great for a dip as it was a cool weekend. The owners are friendly and have a heap of information about local restaurants and walks. We will be back.

We were very impressed with our bungalow, very clean, fans, air conditioning, coffee machine and a very nice bathroom with a spa. The soaps and creams in the bathroom were very good quality. It's a retreat for rest. The pool is really wonderful, - you can do laps, or sit in the spa. Or you can go for walks. Bedroom was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. There is a fridge, microwave, tea, coffee pods and milk. so if you want food, you will have to bring some with you. The nearest food outlets are in Berry which is an 8 minute drive on a fairly windy one lane road. A little harrowing the first time you drive it but there is so little traffic that it turns out to be OK. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. The views from our room were spectacular and so the whole experience was relaxing and restful.

We had a great time! Beautiful accommodations and very private, but close to town and the beach. Anthony and Louise accommodated all our needs, including getting us a last minute massage (which was also awesome!). Loved the grounds - a little piece of heaven!

Watching the sunrise from the outdoor bathtub on the deck was pure magic! The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring every detail was perfect. We had the most beautiful time at Mt Hay and are so grateful we got to go. We went to celebrate Stephen, my husbands birthday. Everything was well cared for, the grounds were beautiful and we love the pool, especially the waterfall function. Louise and Anthony were kind and caring people who were quick to respond. We walked through the gardens, enjoyed looking at the Koi and using the swing. We felt very well taken care of and we hope we can go to Mt Hay again. Thank you Louise and Anthony for everything. Louis & Anthony are great hosts and the rooms are exquisite with stunning views. Berry is just a 20 minute drive away and is a charming town which has good food and beautifully kept homes and gardens. Our hosts gave us excellent directions and local knowledge.
