Motel 6 Brooks, AB

Stayed here as I was in town for a few days visiting family and was rather impressed! Growing up in Brooks this property has a reputation from when it was Econo Lodge. The price was good! And the room was great! The room was clean for the most part. Bed was comfy, and the TV was huge. They also don't use the dumb hotel cable and you had so much to choose from at least over 100 TV channels. There's a Ricky's on property in case you get hungry and many other restaurants and shopping nearby. I only have a few minor negatives about this hotel: 1) the staff wasn't the friendliest especially the young gal working the front desk from check-in to check out. 2) the shower head was not good which I think they could easily fix. 3) there's no coffee pot in the room which ******. But they have complimentary coffee in tea in the lobby that I later found out from another guest. 4) the door needs to be slammed to be fully closed. 5) The people living at the hotel can be rude and disrespectful. Towards the end of my trip I ended up getting a bad stomach bug and was up all night sick and one the "residents" made me feel quite unsafe as he was threatening me etc. I tried to apologize and explain that it isn't my fault that I am not well but he did not care. I could have went to the front desk and said something but I felt that the gal working the desk would also not care. All in all I would for sure stay here again when I am in Brooks. You can't simply beat the price for the quality of room you get! Next time I will just ask for a room away from the people living here!

A basic and not so clean (wooden floor) motel. Personnel is only basic polite and you have to push it to get your customer rights. I wanted to get a partly refund due to dirty wooden floor in my room - I had to change twice the room therefore - but I did not get any answer until today from the management which was allegedly on vacation when I made my complaint at the employee on duty. There is no breakfast, parking lot is dirty. Asphalted paths in front of the motel rooms and the doorsteps of the motel rooms are very uneven (caution: risk of injury) and very dirty as well.

When we arrived, there were many adults and kids just hanging around outside, which was a Tell. There seems to be many people who live here long term (or people visiting after midnight), who like to talk, loudly, non stop until 3 am. The men & boys outside, the females inside the room(s). 1 star for the desk person who put us next to the loud night owls, when the motel is NOT full.

this is a great motel for a stop over when travelling out west especially if you are camping grocery store gas station and other stores close by. Location is ideal as it is just off the trans Canada. Staff bent over backwards to make sure your stay was great and helpful in finding attractions. Brooks is very close to the badlands and Dinosaur Provincial Park. We were so pleased with this motel we stay again on our way home.

Stayed here for 1 night in September 2022. Hotel reception is entered through the side door of a restaurant. The motel is in a separate building at the back of the parking lot. Parking lot a little rough and motel exterior is a little worn but don't let that fool you. The rooms have been renovated. Comfortable and clean. We had a good stay.

This motel doesn't look like much from the road and lobby but the rooms are nice, modern and the beds are very comfortable. We slept well and the price couldn't be beat! We definitely would stay here again and highly recommend.

They have renovated with an attractive new decor. We had a comfortable stay here , very clean with nice new comfortable beds and white bedding. Only complaint no coffee in the rooms and none available in the lobby until 8:30 am. The attached Ricky’s restaurant was very good food.
