Newbury Inn

There is a shortage of good hotels in New Milford. Once a year our family groups need rooms for the Fourth of July. If one wants to drive from Danbury, there are many hotel choices, but that is at least a 30 minute drive to New Milford. The Rocky River is by far the best, but it was not available. We stayed at the Newbury Inn in Brookfield, where we stayed in past years. It has been renovated, but the rooms on the upper level with the required two beds, were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. However, the bathroom and vanity area was extremely tight for two people, but it was clean. We did not watch TV so I cannot comment. AC was fine. Walkway outside upstairs rooms needs renovation. We did not try the continental breakfast. This hotel is Ok for an in at midnight after an all day party, and early morning departure.

Stayed here while running the Jack Bristol Ultra Marathon. They were extremely accommodating with my sistuation, offering a nicer quiet room. Only critique I’d offer is I wish the room had hooks to hang my towels and or jackets. Room 34! Thank you for everything

We got sick staying here, it should be condemned by the Health Dept. The room was FILTHY, the room stinks like something is decaying in it, the AC unit was so loud it sounded like a plane landing and it was filthy, the bedspread was filthy and stunk like it had never been washed, the shower didn't drain. NEVER stay here. If I could give it negative stars I would.

I had to wait for someone to show up at the desk and my check-in was rushed. I never got a WiFi password. The room was comfortable enough and the price quite reasonable, so I’d probably come back. The area is a bit off-the-beaten-path, so there aren’t too many options.

This was a true dump in every way. The shower had mold in it. The front desk receptionist was extremely rude in that upon my husband and I arriving..she insisted upon our giving her our credit card. There was no professional greeting. We regret staying here. The breakfast consisted of stale bagels and watered down oj. ..shouldbe advertised as a snack..it was a trashy dump of a mmotel experience we will soon like to forget forever!!!!!!!!!

We recently stayed here mid-week to attend a funeral nearby. Wasn't expecting too much as it was an out of the way hotel, but it turned out to be perfectly fine. The pictures we offered online were exactly what we found onsite, nice quality toiletries, thick cozy towels, the comforter good and heavy. The room was very clean and a job well done and the vacuuming - sometimes it looks good, until you look at the edges and behind the doors. There were double doors that lead into the bathroom area which was nice because one person could be showering and dressing completely separate from the bedroom.
