Hotel Chateau Bromont

Ils ont refusé de faire le service au chambre pour le repas, même si ce n'étais pas sur l'heure de pointe. Nous avons donc dû aller chercher nous même notre souper et voyager avec des plateaux.

Our first night we had an itchy sleep. That was a very tough night for sleeping. When we woke up my husband spotted a cricket on our bed. We were able to capture it in a cup. Brought the bug in cup to the man at front desk to be told “this happens” and nothing else was said except to motion to me to get rid of it myself. So I brought it outside. The cold and silent response I got from the man and a woman (I suspected she was the manager) at front desk left me feeling like they were insinuating I planted the cricket. No apology for this unfortunate event. Never in all my years of travel to different parts of the world, have I had ever had bugs in my room! Even when camping I’ve never had a cricket in my tent. We never heard from front desk again for the rest of our stay to express anything. At check out I asked if they would compensate us for first night with the cricket. They offered that we could stay a couple more hours after checkout and finally said they were sorry. This was a little too late as we were already packed in vehicle. A cricket in your room while sleeping is not a relating time. If something like this happens it would be good for the hotel to compensate with a reduced room charge so it shows they care. Instead we got a very uncaring vibe and feeling like we were trying to pull a fast one. That’s the last thing you need when trying to have a relaxing vacation.

Basic hotel - good for minimal expectations. Nothing wows you, and you can easily tell why…. Incoherent room design, accessibility, etc. the rooms also heavily smell like cigarette smoke. Pool closes at 9pm - not accommodating for checking in at 4, going for dinner etc. and being able to come back for a swim. Be careful if booking through an external website, it looks like you’re booking through their website but it’s not… I had to prove what I paid to get the equivalent room. Which took an extra hour at check-in after a 5 hour drive. Not awesome. In dire need of a renovation and external website management.

Tired hotel with dingy rooms, horrible lighting, smelly and just not very clean. It's a disservice to the wonderful skiing at Bromont Mountain. The staff was friendly and helpful but the facilities just don't cut it anymore. Needs an urgent overall renovation.

Great hotel, perfect for winter ski-ing. It is near Granby Zoo where we take our kids, and offers a more refined, relaxed vibe after you return from the park. The indoor and outdoor pools are a hit with our kids- we keep coming back! This time around there was construction and noise started earlier than 7am, and there were debris falling over our window and all over the window sill- but having the past great experience helped us overlook the minor inconvenience.

The overall experience was very nice. The hotel is not new, but well maintained, clean and beautiful. I didn't loove the room but it was nice enough and the pool, terrasse, breakfast and garden definitely make up for any other detail. I also appreciated the costumer service. Dinner in the terrasse was nice but way too expensive.

This hotel portrays itself as a deluxe spa hotel and it falls short from that. The rooms are small and not well lit. Outlets are not well positioned for device charging. Reception staff are friendly but not always present and getting information about hiking trails or even the spa facilities was not easy. Our package did not include breakfast and there was no coffee in the lobby- just a Nespeso in the room. The exercise room is small and not very well equipped. On the positive side, the outdoor pool is lovely and the hot tubs are awesome- very clean and with a fabulous view of the mountain. The products offered in the room were very nice and housekeeping was excellent.

The hotel is very nice with a shuttle to the ski area that is very prompt when you call for it! We had a good time and the deluxe room with two pull out couches and a king bed up in the loft fit our family of four. The hot tubs outside were good and the pool and hot tub inside were nice too.

My Wife and I have stayed at The Chateau Bromont several times in the past few years. We were very pleased with the services and the Hotel. Our December 2020 stay even with covid looming over our stay was memorable and great. However this past December 2022 a few days ago we had a booking for a deluxe suite. Our view of the mountain was again fantastic the hotel restaurant food exceptional, But our room this time “room 125” was located right at the main stair well and doorway as well as the main elevator. So throughout the days the guests using these exits were very loud yelling laughing and the clacking of ski-boots was overwhelming to our expected tranquil days there. The guests did not respect the noise level in these areas. Younger children playing with a soccer ball. You can probably see this on your hotel camera there situated in front of the room door. The guests using the outdoor spas well past the 10 pm curfew time by 45 minutes, while also playing very loud music. Our room is located beside the the outdoor spas! Yelling and screaming when re-entering from the outside to the indoor common. Guests in room beside us were very loud and having other guests in there room making it louder, after 10 pm. We contacted the front desks serval times and even went downstairs in person to make the complaint, telling us there were no managers at during these hours. The no response to the complaints and noises level issues were felt to us as a lack of respect from the guests and the hotel management, allowing this to continue to happen. A Hotel of this statue and rating (4-5 star) should be able to manage a certain expectation and behaviour of their guests. At check out, we felt unsatisfied with our overall stay. We were not looking for a monetary handout but an expectation to a certain level of stay and comfort. Many times during our stay in we encountered guests with their skis and or ski boards in the hotel in the hallways in the elevators and stairwells making more noise with them, not being able to enter the elevator because it was full of guests with their skies and boards, I have seen your signs showing and telling guests your policy that it is forbidden to be in the hotel with the skis and you have special places they can keep their equipment. I hope this is brought to the attention of the management team.
