Travelodge Great Yarmouth Acle

For £35, good location, good-sized room (got two extra small beds as must have been a family room), standard amenities (kettle, instant coffee, tea, UHT milk pots, etc), bathroom clean enough with plenty of hot water (though low water pressure), best to bring your own toiletries. Staff were great so I would recommend on that alone - makes a huge difference. Drawbacks - mattress caused back pain as not great, and this is in a service forecourt - petrol station, Starbucks - handy but a driver decided to rev engine for some time at 1 am and took awhile to fall back asleep afterwards.

I am currently staying at Acle Travelodge, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional service I received from the receptionists, Sue, Sharon, and manager, Jane. From the moment I checked in, they went above and beyond to make my stay easier. Sue welcomed me with such warmth and professionalism, she made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Sharon was incredibly helpful in assisting me with last-minute issues of leaving my key at work, and going above and beyond to help me get into my room until I get the key tomorrow (and doing it again when I popped out to the petrol station). Jane was very generous by letting me Prime some stuff to the hotel as I always forget things when I'm working away, despite it being a challenge as they are a hotel and not a personal dwelling. These three ladies work tirelessly to ensure every detail of my stay was great. Their genuine care and dedication turned what could have been a routine trip into a memorable experience. If you're looking for a place where customer service truly shines, I highly recommend Travelodge Acle. Thank you, Sue, Sharon, and Jane, for making my stay a great one!

We've stayed at this Travelodge many times including in the last few months. It's convenient for the boards and other tourist attractions. Can be great value, although little atmosphere compared to some of the inns in the area. Lady on duty on check in can be somewhat abrupt. Other staff are generally more obliging. Our room hadn't been cleaned properly and didn't appear to have been vacuumed - there were food particles/crumbs on the carpet from previous guests - maybe they had been short staffed over the Christmas and New Year period or something but this was disappointing. The rest of the room was clean enough although there was considerable dust in the bathroom fan vent. It was nice to get an upgrade to a family room as this had a small bath tub with a shower above (most rooms have just a shower) plus a table area. The car park is spacious but does get very busy and it has a lot of pot holes. There's a Starbucks on site and a large petrol station shop (with M&S Foodstore) but no pub or restaurant on site. There are a couple of pubs that do food a short walk away and some takeaways. The small pizza/kebab shop (Olivetree) is particularly good and does deliver. It's very popular with tradespeople and roadworkers - so much so that they have taken to putting signs up asking for work boots to be removed upon entry.

Very friendly staff at this hotel and go out of their way to help you, if a problem arises. Rooms are very clean as is whole hotel. Fixtures and fittings are a bit hit and miss, as like a broken soap dispenser in bathroom, no net curtain and no diffusers on strip light in bathroom. Overall a very good stay. Also has a short walk to take aways of fish and chips,Chinese and an Indian.

We were heading to a friends in Norfolk & staying Saturday night so I went on the travelodge site & got a great deal for the Friday night. We were greeted by an asian lady who was helpful & friendly at the same time. We were in are room after a few minutes, the room was spotless & it even had the heating on so it was warm on entry. There’s a garage across the site & it has a well stocked M&S, plus a Starbucks next to that. If you turn left out of the garage there’s a chip shop a 100 yards on the left. If you keep walking or driving in to acle there’s pubs & takeaways or you can have food delivered to the hotel. If you turn right on the A47 heading to Norwich, there’s a MCDonalds ten minutes drive on the left of the roundabout, which is handy as there’s no hot food in the hotel. If you turn left on the A47 you’re 9 miles from Great Yarmouth with the fun fair & seaside amusements. The hotel is being refurbished next spring which it needs & it will bring it up to the standards of other travelodge,s room wise, but to be fair my room was in a good condition with everything working as it should & it wont be long before we’re back in 2025. I’ll be back.
