Alison Court

I have used Urban Creation a number of times before and am quite willing to pay the high prices. Bit disappointed that at Alison Court on April 5th, the television did not work. No channels. Lovely man tried to fix it but could not. We watched our evening telly by balancing an ipad on our laps. So it is a First World problem rather than a disaster. We asked for a partial refund. They told us no - disappointing. If they had advertised it as a flat with no TV then we would not have taken it. Heigh ho. Loads of other places in Bristol to stay so off we go with our monthly £100 spend.

Good standard of accomodation - studio with plenty of room for two. It was clean and had everything we needed. Plus the added bonus of actually being able to open windows! Easy to find and about 25 mins walk from the main centre. But very near Whiteladies Road with a fantastic choice of bars and places to eat, plus a couple of small supermarkets. Free parking available at rhe back. Booking was easy, communication Good and efficient. Checking in was contactless and easy. Check out 11.00 am which was also a bonus. Only issue was I asked if we could leave our car in the carpark on check out day, knowing that folk couldn't check in before 4pm. I was told that we could but we would be charge £5.00 !an hour!! Needless to say we.didnt! ! Overall though, we would stay again!!

Probably the most uncomfortable stay I’ve had in a long time! Struggled to find the place as I checked in late at night due to work, it’s not very well sign posted. Would suggest getting a spotlight on the Alison Court sign as I went past it so many times, due to my phone maps saying I had arrived on a whole different part of the street. In the end I had to call an out of hours number to ask for help to direct me. The number was for the security guy working for the reservation company, he was half helpful and just said it looks like a block of flats and next to a orthodontist! Poor signal in room, no guide or any code in the room for wifi. I had to look back on previous reviews on *********** to see if other guests had this problem. Turns out, they email you the guide beforehand and you can find the password on this link. Wouldn’t it be much easier to have a sign in the room just saying what the password is? Walls and ceilings are disgustingly thin, you can hear anything and everything. Doors constantly slamming all throughout the night, the room above were up and down like bloody yo-yos! Could hear them stomping to and from, running up and down the stairs. Really difficult to get a decent night sleep as your constantly woken up by these loud noises. Not great for myself who was travelling for work and had a really long day and just wanted a decent nights sleep! Bed is half decent, I would say the pillows could be changed to ones that are a bit more softer. Room is clean and has small kitchen area with cooking facilities.
