Parkhotel Brenscino Brissago

Amazing hotel we always want to come back. The only thing: please tell couples this is a family hotel and that kids are the part of the trip too. People expecting silence and no kids around should find some other alternative in the area. I suggest perhaps some more activities and a person watching the kids for an hour at the playroom? That would be nice for the parents to enjoy a massage or so. Best wishes!

We had a great stay at this very well organized and clean hotel. Great for children with lots to do. Breakfast was out of this world. We had a great view of the lake from our room and our breakfast location. Restaurant was first class. Staff were awesome.

Breakfast and Dinner were super. The covered terrace with a view and Italian music were great as well. Service at the restaurant was very attentive. Room with view overlooking the lake was tempting to spend extra time there. Parking garage was convenient, dogs are allowed in the room and at the terrace.

We enjoyed our visit and the delicious buffet breakfast! Beautiful outdoor pool with a big area for relaxing! The view by the pool was amazing!It was a great stay over all, nice and clean, staff was very friendly and helpful! I loved all the plants around the buildings and the view from our balcony was spectacular! We enjoyed just sitting out there enjoying ourselves! It was very hot to have a good sleep without air conditioner! I think in a climate like this… a must have!

It is not obvious but the hotel is in different areas eg you have to go up the lift, up a steep slope to a door and out across a bridge and up a steep incline to get to the swimming pool. My problem was even with a standard size wheelchair (67 cm wide) it could not fit out this door, I had to try and stand up on a slope while my husband folded the wheelchair to get it through and then I had to try and get back in it. Not easy on a slope and with no strength, I was clinging on to the door frame and metal railing as my daughter tried to stop me falling over. It was also tough on my husband who had to push me up the slope! The second problem was once in the shower, with help, in the wheelchair I could not reach the soaps. What they called ‘the big lift’ is not very big it fitted my wheelchair, my husband and one daughter (I have three). There was limited areas to get a drink as the bar near the swimming pool is only open after lunch and she refused to serve my husband and another lady at 17.10 as she was closing ( he had already been queuing 10 minutes). The piaggio bar was shut at 22.10 as she was closing, we then went to the main bar and he asked us if we would mind if he shut at 22.20. It is expensive to eat and drink but that’s just Switzerland. There was no air conditioning installed and no coffee or tea making facilities in the room which was disappointing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great, even with my gluten free diet. I will not be returning to this hotel due to wheelchair issues. It’s not the worst I’ve had with a wheelchair but far from the best.

The service was great and the receptionist very friendly The view was also great We had so much fun and the city is so wonderful and this was my first visit to it When we come back again to this city we will definitely choose the same hotel
