What a magical place this is! Nestled in a small valley, 5 min drive from Brisighella, or a 15 min walk. 3 very well appointed rooms await you and the warm hospitality of Marco and his family. Setting, the building was built in the 13th century and comprises the main accommodation (3 bedrooms) and a Chapel with authentic frescos and high ceilings. They are literally building a swimming pool right now which should be ready for July! To the north and west, the grounds are full of vineyards and you can sample the very tasty red wine for €10. Communal areas are available to use anytime you wish, the Chapel and lounge area. A fridge is there to use if you need it. The rooms. We had the room on the south wall with 3 windows. I think it's the largest and we loved it. High ceilings, a round lovely window and separate large bathroom. The shower was exceptional, loved it's space and power. The bed was firm, which we much prefer. A choice of pillows to use. The furniture is antique and quirky. Not 100% practical for storage, however it does the room perfectly and we loved its look. We decided to open the windows and leave them open and we didn't need the AC at all. Breakfast, is served between 8:30 and 10:30. Yoghurt, cereal, bread, croissants, marmalade, honey, fruit, juices and lovely, much needed coffee. Nothing was too much trouble and we even tried fried flowers a delicacy only available for 1 week of the year. Talking with Marco, we had a lovely time understanding the passion they have for this place. It was wonderful and they are great hosts. This is a good base to see the area, Bologna is 1 hour as is Ravenna. San Marino is 1.5 hours drive. Plenty of small Appenine hilltop villages to explore nearby as well as lovely Brisighella. Overall fantastic value for money and a wonderful experience. We would love to return someday! Thank you
