I’m disabled in a wheelchair, the hotel knew this at the time of booking. When we arrived my first problem was that there was a step so I couldn’t go in. I called for help and then I shouted for help, people from a restaurant down the road came to see what was going on, eventually a lady came from reception, she said she was at the reception all the time, so why didn’t she come to help ? Breakfast was ok, but the staff were not nice or helpful, we were at a table and we wanted a drink all the tables around us were being served with teas and coffee but the staff never came to us at alll, it is not nice being ignored ? We asked reception if they would help us with what we could do around Brindisi, where we could visit and see all the tourists go. The receptionist said that she couldn’t help us and she didn’t know what or where to go for trips or tours she didn’t know where tourist information was, she gave us a photo copy map of Brindisi. On the table near the exit door was a table with tourists information about tours around Brindisi ? We had no toilet paper in our room, so my wife had to go and get some ? The disabled toilet in the public area had no toilet paper in ? The bar was never open. We asked when it would be open, the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and went into the back office ? Such a beautiful stunning hotel was spoiled by rude and very unhelpful staff. I have sent a few emails to the hotel, but I have only had one reply to tell me the manager would phone me, still waiting ? There were other points which went wrong but, I didn’t want to go on. After a long fabulous holiday in Italy ended like this, very sad and disappointed.
