The Swallows Rest Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I have stayed at Swallows Rest twice. Both times have been very comfortable and relaxing. Sam is a wonderful host and very attentive towards her guests. Brigstock is a beautiful village and a delight to walk around. Looking forward to our next stay.

Amazing beautiful part of the UK in the doomsday book, as many have said Sam is a beautiful host and anything you want is never to much trouble The parking and accommodation is on point, entering is like a page of Laura Ashley I ended up having a bath whilst floating about in the depth of it Breakfast was amazing fruit berries and eggs done perfectly They also had Bamboo chopsticks for the Chinese takeaway I ordered, I mean who has that! 5* and I stay in many places all week this was a treat

This was the third time I have stayed at Swallows Nest, travelling for work. It's a gem of a place, convenient for travel, very clean, quiet, a great breakfast and Sam as a host cannot do enough, including booking a restaurant! I wouldn't mark it detrimentally, but having to travel 10-15 minutes for dinner after a long day wasn't ideal, it would be beneficial if there was a place within walking distance for an evening meal. Overall the B&B itself is excellent.

Our room was super cute, cozy, quiet, and had a lovely view of the garden patio and sheep field. The host was incredibly friendly and wonderful to talk to. Her and her family made us feel right at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the both of us loved the freshly baked cookies that were left for us!♡ My boyfriend and I are definitely going to stay here again on our next visit!♡♡♡

As a fan of cookies, I total applaud the two fresh, warm, gooey home made ones we received each day. Five stars, right there. But that's not all. The bed was very comfortable, and with the lights off, the room was dark and quiet: the three main requirements for sleeping. The room temperature was comfortable, and the room was spotlessly clean. Décor was very 'English Homes', tastefully understated. The owner, Sam, was lovely, and happy to provide information on the area. Breakfast was excellent, with options I've not seen before, like overnight oats. Criticisms? Very minor. Parking space is sufficient, but not more. The shower floor is quite slippery. (Bath mat available.) I've stayed around the area for many years, and Swallows never came up, apparently because it's so popular. That's a review in itself.

Friendly host and a very restful stay in a lovely B & B located in an idyllic picture postcard village. A very comfortable nights sleep in an elegant and tastefully decorated room with sumptuous en-suite. This all represented extremely good value for money.
