Falkensteiner Hotel Bratislava

It was such a lovely stay! I highly recommend the sauna in the hotel, and the breakfast is great. The location is also good, with walking distance to the main tourist places. There is a bus that goes to the airport directly. The receptionist is very friendly! I wound stay again when I visit Bratislava next time.

Tento hotel bol fantasticky. Priatelsky personal, krasne a cista izba,s vyhladom na Stare mesto. Ranajky lepsie ako v Langhame. A k tomu finska a steam sauny zadarmo. Urcite sa vratim. Dakujem.

Arrived the hotel around 1pm. Reception let us check in early. Upon entering the room (416) and unpacking toiletries we felt that the air coming out was hot. Called downstairs to check how to use the aircon. After a while it was getting worse, felt like being in a sauna. Went down to reception and they changed our room to 331. Hopeful this time that the aircon is working, I unpacked more items from my suitcase. Went out for a walking tour and then dinner upon entering the room it still wasn’t cool / aircon is not really working. We were too tired to go down and change rooms again, not to mention packing everything up again. The rooms are a decent size, the bathrooms are huge and there’s plenty of space for toiletries and personal belongings. The furniture inside is a bit worn though. We like that there’s a pillow menu and complimentary bottle of water. Regarding the aircon, good thing it was cold outside - so we resorted to opening the window to let some air in. There’s no netting or safety railing and the window is huge, big enough for an animal or even a person to come in or out from Drinks at the bar (average 10-12 euros per drink) and breakfast buffet option (20 euros) are quite pricey compared to the room rates (which is very reasonable) There’s a wonderful little cafe around the corner that serves really good breakfast. Location is near the old town, about a 10 min walk.

Lovely hotel, comfy bed, fantastic location. Breakfast was wonderful, great choice of cold and hot food. Room was comfortable and modern, bathroom was very nice with walk in shower and fluffy bath robes. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English.

We booked for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary while on a longer trip to Vienna. We were very pleased on check in when we were told that we had been upgraded to a superior room free of charge, with access to the rooftop lounge. The rooftop lounge was fantastic - complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and small snacks, plus a coffee machine. The terrace was a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a sunny afternoon with a few drinks, and this was the highlight of our stay. However, the room lacked any kind of AC. We enquired about it at reception after thinking we had programmed it wrong, but we were told by two separate staff that it just doesn’t work in the way AC should, and that they knew it was an issue on the 6th floor. There were no other superior rooms available for the night we were staying, and so if we wanted to change to another room we would have to downgrade (and lose access to the lounge), so we decided to put up with it. (Bear in mind, the daily temperatures during our stay were around 30 Celsius). The night was very uncomfortable as a result - we had to sleep with the terrace door open which was a) a security risk, and b) noisy from the passing traffic. It cooled the room down enough to sleep, but it wasn’t an enjoyable sleep. We made use of the gym in the morning and again - no AC! The door was wide open and this barely made any difference. Breakfast was fantastic - plenty of choice of hot and cold buffet food, juices, teas and coffees and even sparkling wine. We throughly enjoyed it and it bookended an otherwise slightly disappointing experience with the room. I would recommend this hotel based on the location, service, the use of the lounge, and breakfast - but I would suggest that the hotel upgrades its AC system, or at least invests in some fans that could be given to guests during hot weather.

when walking in the entrance you automatically feel welcome. The placement of the hotel is ideal for taking in all the sights by foot. the room was nice clean and tidy and the coffee machine a bonus. As hotels go, its a plesant hotel. The thing that I found empressive and stood out to me was the staff, especially the hard working girls in the breakfast room. They deserve a medal!! very attentive and efficient at keeping the breakfast enviroment clean and tidy and paying attention to their clients... Just for these hard working girls the hotel gets full marks from me. often a good hotel is let down by its staff, not here!! well done staff...

The location of the hotel is ideal for tourists, close to the castle and the old town. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience at check-in. The line of guests was very long and it took forever. However, I don't want to blame the staff for this, there were just too few of them, the planning seems to be bad.The rooms are good, not completely without flaws, but okay. On a positive note, there is a well stocked minibar, which doesn't happen very often anymore. The cleaning staff also does a really good job! The service in the bar is ok, but the cocktails are ridiculously small. A small but well-equipped wellness area adds to the comfort. In short, I think the hotel offers good value for money and I would book it again.

Amazing hotel with lovely staff, Ivan took such good care of us. Helped us with everything we needed, even when I made the mistake of booking the same room twice. And let us move it to the next night. The facilities are amazing and they even upgraded our room.
