Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Brandon

The lady at the front desk was very nice. The rooms were hot because it Mississippi in august and they turn the air off when nobody is using them. The AC was broken in my first room and the new room I was put in was hotter then the first and the air only lasted about 30 minutes. The floor has white crusty stains on them (both rooms). The bed are about 12” off the ground and the sheets are so thin you can see through them and the comforter had brown stains all over the underside of it. The mattress was terrible and the second rooms bed leaned towards the foot of the bed about 4”.

Building is old and needs to be refurbished. Perfume scent on sheets not good for allergies. Overpriced for what you get. No breakfast was served. A/C in common areas was turned off during a dangerous heat wave. Wish I hadn't been so tired. I would have moved on...

I arrived to an empty parking lot, which should have been my first clue to leave. The entire places smelled bad. Its old and looks nothing like the pictures which is false advertising. But the rooms are non-refundable so that's how they get you. The room itself was a let down. Small, half the lights do not work, smells, tv broken, alarm clock broken, wires hanging every where and everything has stains on it. If i had the money I would have continued on to a different hotel! GROSSSSSSS

This hotel was rundown and not at all like the pictures showed. When I checked in, the "system was down" so I couldn't check in. The room was missing the microwave and coffee maker, plus there weren't any beside lamps so the entire room was dark. The desk was falling apart, there were deep scratches along the wall, there were wires hanging down from behind the tv. The entire hotel didn't run the a/c, I guess to save costs? So the room was HOT when I checked in. It took hours for the room to cool off enough to feel inhabitable. No one told me when I checked in that because the system was down, I wouldn't have wifi for my stay. I decided that I didn't feel comfortable staying the second night. I loaded up the car at 6am. No breakfast, not even coffee. I tried to get ice, ice machine was broken. I tried to check out, but the system was still down. They would call and give me the updated one night price before my credit card was charged. They didn't do that. My 2 night reservation was supposed to be $135. My card was charged $141 without notice. I called the hotel to speak to the manager, she was RUDE. She told me that my reservation was non-refundable, so the charges would stay. I asked her why I was charged more, and she said "Probably extra taxes." I told her that I wasn't comfortable staying the 2nd night, and her response was "You could talk, yes? You could come to front desk and say something, yes? Your fault for not speaking up." Anything I tried to say after that, all she would say was "Non-refundable. Not our fault. Not our problem." Until she finally said "There's no point in arguing with me. Non-refundable." And then the phone disconnected. The people who run the hotel live in the hotel. They treat you like they're doing you a favor by letting you stay in their house, and then are mean.

I tried to book online, but ended up having to call the registration line. They reserved a room for me (Queen bed superior room) at 58.79 (plus tax) for the night. When I got to the motel they charged me 69.99 (plus tax) for the night and the clerk said "That's what they send me. I can't change it." I decided to take it up with Wyndham, went to my room, went back out to get ice, and discovered the ice machine wasn't working. Check out time was 11:00 AM. I'm Wyndham gold, so I could have requested a later check out but, admittedly, hadn't. At 10:30 housekeeping was knocking on my door and, when I answered, asked "Staying?". I said no, I'll be leaving shortly she said "Staying?", and I realized she didn't understand a word I was saying. 15 minutes later (15 minutes before check out time) the morning/daytime desk clerk knocked on my door to tell me the check out time was 11:00. I admit, I missed 11:00 by about 2 minutes, but wouldn't have had I not been badgered about check out time. I have moved back to this area and will be spending the night in Brandon MS frequently - but I can guarantee you I have stayed at this motel twice - both my first and my last time. I would rather sleep in my car than give them my money.

This hotel needs to be condemned! No air conditioning used throughout hotel making musty and moldy. Rooms are so small two people could barely fit In a room. Unclean, rude, nasty place. NEVER stay again. Wanted to move to another facility but refused to give refund.
