Just home from a stay in the family room. Very clean and comfortable. 2 adults plus a 16 and 15 year old,. The family room was out with the main building and had a small garden and it’s own door. It has an ample size hallway which is excellent for storing shoes, jackets and bags. The bedroom isn’t massive but it is big enough and again has storage for hanging clothes. Double bed and 2 singles were very comfortable.TV in the room with Netflix. We also went into one of the 2 living rooms in the main guest house at night which was lovely for sitting watching TV or playing one of the board games available. The guest house was an excellent base for our stay in Braemar and wasn’t too far for our ski day at Glenshee. If we were back in the area we would definitely stay again.

Stayed here 3 nights whilst visiting Balmoral and Braemar. The welcome from Maria and Grant was warm and friendly and the room comfortable with a superb view of the Braemar Highland Games ground. The room and en-suite were clean and beautifully furnished. Downstairs there were 2 large rooms with a big screen TV in each. The breakfast room was also large, bright and airy. Breakfast menu was extensive and ordered the night before to eliminate waste. The food was tasty and freshly cooked. Moorfields is within walking distance where there is a good range of eating for evening meals, including the Cairn where Grant is owner/chef, and Farquharsons. See seperate reviews.

Lovely welcome, absolutely spotless. Really quiet and everything you could ask for. Really nice to have the use of the lounges. Oh and the Breakfast absolutely superb wonderful quality of ingredients. Would highly recommend

We stayed for 5 nights - had delicious breakfasts and good nights’ sleep. Braemar is interesting and we were able to cycle on quiet roads and gravel, walk, climb and explore. Stunning scenery. Highly recommend.

Visited this month to inter my Dad at the local cemetery and have a service conducted. This house holds special importance as my Grandparents owned it in the 60s. Grant and Maria made the visit all the more special. We were given a warm welcome and the use of one of the lounges to return to after the service. They were very accomodating to our needs and made sure we had a great time. Would recommend the property and the excellent hosts at any time.
