Visiting our daughter at Bath Spa University, and wanted an alternative to staying in the city , well this was it . Helen the host, is so very friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area . Every morning there is a choice for breakfast, including toast , cereal and full English, and it's cooked beautifully . The rooms are welcoming and cozy, with comfy beds and everything you could possibly need . Storm Darragh tried to complicate things slightly , knocking the power out a few times meaning the heating didn't come on one evening , but Helen soon sorted us out with an extra radiator just in case . 100% would recommend and would stay again in the future , thank you

Fabulous B&B. Helen was amazing, a fountain of local knowledge and a genuinely lovely person. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and our room for four nights was so comfortable. The peaceful surroundings meant a good night's sleep was had. Breakfast was a delight and plenty of it. From a cooked breakfast to poached eggs, nothing was too much bother. Delicious. It's also a great area for getting that fresh air and exercise. Loads of things to do all within a few miles. Overall, Great Ashley Farm is a must and one of the best B&Bs you will find. Don't hesitate.

Helen is a fabulous host and made us feel so welcome. She also cooks the best breakfast ever and nothing was to much trouble. The rooms we stayed in were so luxurious and inviting plus the beds were exceptionally comfortable too. We couldn’t fault a thing!

My friend and I stayed I The Tup shepherd hut. It was cosy, clean and quiet with the most beautiful views. There was lots of little added touches such as a gift basket. We got to see beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Helen was super helpful with how to get around and what was close. It was a 20 minute drive into Bath city centre. We got to see the horses and cows in the barn which added to our perfect weekend. Such a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Great Ashley farm.

We stayed in the Shepherds Huts at Great Ashely Farm last weekend and had the best weekend. Just the two of us, a chance to get away and relax which we did. Having stayed in the fantastic bed and breakfast rooms before, we know its a great location, quiet, charming and idyllic. The Shepherds Hut is beautifully decorated, warm, cosy, comfortable, surprisingly spacious with excellent storage. The under floor heating and oodles of hot water is a bonus. There was an amazing welcome box of goodies waiting for us when we arrived that included fresh farm eggs, fresh bread and butter, homemade jams, locally sourced cider. It was such a treat. The location is quiet and a real "hideaway from it all" destination. We caughted up on sleep and relaxed. I'd recommended it to everyone and excellent value for money.

Beautiful location, quiet and restful. Several great pubs nearby. Best experience we had on our 3 week trip. Very clean cozy room with upgraded bath, excellent cooked breakfast, and the opportunity to see an actual working family farm. During our stay, we were fortunate to see a baby lamb just born, only minutes old! Great area laced with walking trails and not far from Bath and other attractions. Helen and Alex are excellent hosts, and Helen is a wealth of information regarding things to see. Or just enjoy a glass of wine while sitting out in the lush green countryside! A true 5 star experience!

Peaceful location.Very comfy room, beautifully decorated and spotless clean, and with everything you could need. Helen is a wonderful host, and very knowledgeable and passionate about the local area, places to visit, restaurants, scenic walks etc. Breakfast was delicious consisting of lots of tasty local produce. Highly recommend and hope to return.

Great Ashley Farm is home away from home! You will be greeted by Helen, the hostess. Helen makes all the difference - with a fantastic English breakfast cooked to order every morning, and helpful hints on the sights to see in the area. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and extremely quiet. And being on a working farm allows for walks and animal encounters!

There were a few good points about this b&b, but they were overshadowed by one big, bad point. Namely the rooms are not serviced in any way during the stay. This meant: making our own bed, emptying the bins, changing the towels, cleaning tea cups, and making do without the bathroom and toilet being cleaned for 4 days. We certainly would not have booked to stay here, if we had known this beforehand. Oh, and one more thing, we were asked to come down early for breakfast on our second morning as the host had a trip out arranged.
