Midtown Farm Bed & Breakfast

The Room & Facilities: We had booked a double ensuite room, both the room and bathroom were clean, tidy and inviting. There was a little sofa, kettle, cups, tea, coffee, etc.... a booklet informing of breakfast options and things to do nearby. Inside the wardrobe there were supplies for every weather occasion; a fan, a heater, extra blankets, an ironing board, an iron, all the things you could need. The view from our window was over the courtyard and the farm buildings beyond where we enjoyed watching the birds in the morning. Breakfast: We were treated to a delicious breakfast in the morning, James opted for tea and eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I was fussy and chose parts of the full English (Hash brown, bacon and scrambled egg on homemade toast). This set us up nicely for our onward journey. Wildlife: The courtyard to the B&B was occupied by a couple of barn swallows when we arrived, a couple of bats when we came back from dinner and a flock of Jackdaws in the morning to join the barn shallows. We also heard a tawny owl when we arrived back from dinner. I’m sure if we had spent more time there, there would have been much more wildlife to see and hear. What a great place staff are A1 able to point me in the right direction for local walks chatty and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast freshly cooked and of great quality enough to keep you going for the day would highly recommend

We stayed in this lovely very clean B&B after a long drive from the South of England. Fantastic accommodation and stunning location . It was amazing to see Scotland across the water.Janice is a gracious host , she has beautifully decorated the place. Very impressed with spectacular breakfast with plenty of selections including home made marmalade and bread. We would strongly recommend this place.

We had a lovely stay at this beautifully presented Farmhouse bnb. There was secure parking, excellent appointments in the room and a professionally cooked and continental breakfast. The hosts Janice and Caleb were welcoming and friendly and a justly proud of their lovely home, set along the Solway, Wigton. Nearby are stunning views, little villages and historic sections of Hadrians Wall.

Amazing B & B with really comfortable rooms. They were spacious with everything you could possibly need. There was a wide breakfast selection with all needs catered to. Felt very well looked after and would recommend to anyone
