We were really disappointed with our stay at Hotel Palazzo Sa Pischedda. The building itself is beautiful and full of character, and our room was large with high ceilings, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The decor was far from sympathetic to the historic building, more dated than charming. Our room included a Jacuzzi and sauna, which might sound luxurious, but in reality felt clumsily inserted into the space and disrupted any sense of elegance. The bathroom was a prefabricated cubicle installed directly in the room, with fake marble tiles and an extremely narrow shower entrance (definitely under 50cm), which many guests would struggle with. Oddly, the toilet paper was in a large dispenser you’d expect in a public bathroom. The blackout curtain didn’t actually cover the whole window, making it impossible to keep the room dark, and the air-conditioning unit was so loud it made it hard to sleep. Even basic comforts were lacking - the bed sheet wasn’t wide enough to be tucked in properly. Breakfast was very average and served in a dark, windowless room - not the kind of experience you expect in sunny Sardinia. If we had paid around €150 for the night, we might have overlooked some of this. But at over €300 for one night, it felt like a complete rip-off. Unfortunately, it was a very poor experience and we wouldn’t return or recommend it.
