This is a really great hotel, I started 4th-11th of March. Was still plenty of snow in Borovets and the slopes were great for a beginner like myself. I stayed in this hotel, which is just outside of town (25m walk). It has a free shuttle in the morning/afternoons running roughly every half hour. I would have to be honest and say it doesn't run exactly on schedule so don't focus too much on the listed times, get to each time slot early as it can, and does, leave early/late. Didnt cause me any issues. It's a 5 min trip on the shuttle from hotel to slopes, and back. Drop/collection is outside the Samakov hotel, which is about a 2m walk from the bottom of the slopes/lifts, and also a 2m walk to the Gondola (do take this no matter your ski level, the greens are great and views stunning). The hotel itself has: Equipment room (not heated) Spa - which was really great, 2 saunas, steam room, heated loungers, kids pool, "adult" pool, and jacuzzi, which is basically one end of the kids pool. The pools are smaller than they look in the photos but still good for relaxing or swimming some lengths Gym - I didn't use Massage service - I didn't use Bar/Restuarant/lounging area I used the spa every day after skiing and it was great for relaxing before dinner. My package was Half board so breakfast/dinner was included (I ate lunch on the slopes, reasonable prices a bit under the UK average). Food was buffet style but always plenty of choice and lots of it. I tended to each 2 lots of everything each meal so came away feeling full and enjoyed it. The only negative I would have here is drinks are included at breakfast but not at dinner, which I found odd. I took a water bottle in the evenings to keep costs down. Staff - serving staff in the restaurant (3 girls) tended to keep their eyes down but were extremely efficient in removing used plates, usually plate is gone almost as soon as you put your knife/fork down. They were polite enough when thanked. The guy in reception (big bald guy with a big beard) was very helpful throughout our trip, answering tons of questions and also helping with a medical issue and checking I was ok before I left. He might look like a bouncer but he is a good egg. Room - big enough for the 2 of us, including twin beds + an extra. The decorating was good enough and it had a nice bathroom with a good shower. Rooms cleaned daily and shampoo/shower gel/robe/slippers provided. Overall I have no complaints about the hotel. Evening drinks, even basic ones, should be included with the meal but I'd still happily stay here again. My holiday plan was hotel to slopes to hotel (spa) and repeat. And I enjoyed it every day. The town isn't really good enough to want to be "in" town, unless you want to get drunk every night in the various bars. So if you want to ski and relax, this is a great place to do it.

We stayed for a week in February half term, overall great value. The hotel has a shuttle bus that runs from 830am to 450pm. Drops off outside the Samakov hotel. It's about 5 mins into town or I'm told about a 30 minute walk. There's a taxi rank and a taxi will cost 20 Lev. We has a suite which was ideal for 3 of us, in double bed and a single in the living room. The buffet breakfast and dinner were included in our stay and had a wide range on offer. There's a ski room for boots and ski's. The spa has 2 small swimming pools, 2 sauna's and a steam room, open from 10am-8pm. There's a small gym and a massage service. The bar is reasonable priced. There's a big bald guy on reception who could do with a hospitality course, grunts and one word answers but don't let him put you off. I'd recommend this as a cheaper alternative to staying in the town.

Great hotel just outside of the ski resort. We traveled as a family of four that has trouble deciding on restaurants so breakfast and dinner included is something we look for. Food selection for both was great. Room was spacious and the spa was ok. Friendly staff:) I took one star because the beds were a little uncomfortable, but we were so tired from a day of skiing that it didn't matter too much. Be aware that you'll be taking a five minute shuttle ride to the ski resort, but it was easy to use. If you want to stay at the resort after skiing, it's not a difficult walk back. Recommend it!

I am impressed by the exquisite cuisine. Absolutely amazing to my taste! All the family members can have their pick. Congrats to the Chef! Large rooms, a lot of space for depositing personal stuff, very clean, discrete personnel. For non-skiers, you can enjoy the warm pool, warm jacuzzi and saunas. Good choice for families! (and not only) Anyways I will remember this hotel for its amazing food.

We thought this hotel was an amazing bargain for the price we paid at the end of the ski season. We checked in very late in the evening and they were thoughtful to give us a pack up as we had missed dinner. Room was fine, fitted our needs. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great, as the hotel wasn’t so full we had the usual cereals etc but you could order bacon, eggs etc if you wanted it. The chef made us pancakes which we loved! A shuttle bus is put on to/from the slopes, takes 5 mins and was very efficient. We see some people have had issues with the food? Our experience was an amazing one. We were served upstairs in the main room as the hotel was quiet and had a choice of starters, mains and desserts. The food was outstanding. Super soup or salads, chicken/pork/fish mains and a range of desserts. Very professionally presented. Huge portions - probably too much food. Only gripe is that there was no rest between courses, when the staff came to clear away our plates they brought the next course at the same time. Pool was nice with the integral jacuzzi (robes and slippers provided). Sauna and steam was just ok and there was no aroma in the aroma steam room - pity - perhaps we should have asked? Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I’ve just stayed at the Radinas Way for a long weekend with friends. We had a really good stay, the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. We were on half bird basis which was excellent value. The buffet breakfast was great with yoghurt, fruit, fresh bread, bacon, eggs (scrambled or fried) amongst other things. They played pretty lively house music at breakfast which was ok but could imagine some might not like it. Dinner was also buffet and we had a good salad with choice of pork or chicken with rice or fries and some limited vegetable option. It was tasty and we enjoyed it. For variety we did go out for dinner in town for two out of four nights even though we paid half board. Bulgaria is good value for money when eating out so this didn’t break the bank. It was good to have the choice. The swimming pool and sauna, steam room, spa and gym were all excellent and really enjoyable after a day of skiing. In the room was a good quality robe that you can wear to the health suite. The bar was comfortable with fire and TVs. There was also a games room with table tennis (small charge to rent the ball and bats). Rooms were excellent with only one small issue - the heat is not easy to control and as with most Bulgarian places the temperature was on max. We opened the windows at night to cool it down and closed the bathroom door which had underfloor heating cranked to the max. After that the rooms were a comfortable temperature. Transfer to ski slopes was punctual and we got a space easily, however it was end of season and quiet. Taxi to the slopes is 15 lev so not outrageous if you want to travel outside of the free shuttle times. I would recommend this hotel, we really had a great time!

I was very happy with my stay at Radina's Hotel. I can not fault it in any way. My room (although slightly dated) was very clean, with a good sized bathroom/shower facility, TV with optional languages, very comfortable bed, balcony, fridge, safe, dresser and more. I loved the spa area that had a small swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi plus more. We had breakfast with our package, the food was very good with plenty to choose from, fresh bread of all varieties, bacon, sausages & eggs plus fruits & cereals, cakes ..... Parking was good if you rent a car but if you want to walk to the hot spot near Rila Hotel it will take around 20-25 mins. A lidl is also around 10 min drive away if needed. The staff were very helpful with a couple of issues and my problems were resolved very quickly, but do expect robot staff at the reception, they clearly get a lot of requests. I found the bar staff to be more friendly. In all i was very happy with my stay and recommend to anyone looking to stay in Borovets

Beware that you will not be allowed to use the pool/spa after you check out unless you pay 40 lev (20 Euro) per person. So if you decide to ski on your last day you will not be able to have a shower and change for free which is quite extraordinary and doesn’t not happen in the Alps resorts. When we spoke to the management they simply said it was the hotel policy, they were not interested in what we thought about it. Agree with other reviewers who mentioned lack of basic customer service skills. I would say avoid this hotel if you can.

To start with this was a budget holiday booked through an agent, but the hotel surpassed our expectations in every way. It is a little way out of Borovets, but it is easily walkable. We're around 50 and walked into town, (without ski boots on) in 20 minutes and it's a nice walk. The road isn't at all busy though slightly slopped up hill going into town. Makes returning easier. There is a free courtesy bus that runs mornings and afternoons to drop and collect you from just outside the Samokov hotel. It works well and the driver even used to recognise us if we were walking and would stop to see if we wanted a lift. The room we had was plenty big enough with, TV, hair dryer, robes and slippers for your use especially when going down to the spa. The food was ok. It is typical buffet style which suited us and we always found something that we wanted to eat and there was always plenty of it. The staff generally were very pleasant and helpful. The odd ones didn't appear to speak English, but let's face it we were in their country and I'm afraid to say I don't speak a word of Bulgarian. The hotel was generally very clean and well maintained. If we had an issue we spoke to reception who resolved it quickly. I wouldn't have a problem at all staying at the hotel again especially if looking for a quiet place away from the excitement of Borovets town
