Magical experience at La Monastica! World class service in a completely renovated old monastery. We were blown away by our three night stay at this resort. Pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a jr suite- our room was luxurious with an oversized bathroom and shower. The entire resort is immaculate and the views are breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed the signature cocktails ( so creative!), the complimentary breakfast ( outstanding!) and dinner at the restaurant which was a special treat. So grateful to all the staff who treated us like royalty. We will be back! John and Melissa

We had an amazing time at La Monastica. The place is so peaceful and it really felt like we were in a hidden gem tucked away from the world. The views were stunning and we loved how the building had that classic Tuscan feel. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always making sure we were taken care of and giving us great local recommendations. The food was fresh and full of flavor! We definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in Tuscany!

It’s started from the google reviews where I found this place being 5* resort. I got very excited and decided to visit this hotel with my husband. How can it go wrong? It was freshly renovated, used to be a monastery, located in some “lovely area” (judging by the pictures from their site). I booked the best room for €1300+ and couldn’t wait to visit it. How big was my disappointment to find out that there is no way you can sleep and relax (aren’t the spas and resorts all about that?) in that place. There is an old tower that actually belongs not to the hotel but the city (even though it’s located on the tiny parcel of land that hotel owns, so don’t even bother to wish to have a pleasant morning walk around, there is nowhere to walk) with an old bell that rings whenever it wants. Not every 30 mins, not every hour but any time it desires! The sound is absolutely unbearable too. It’s very sharp and unpleasant. Imagine someone is smashing the frying pan near your ear at night and you will understand. Don’t forget about €1300+ price for the room… A HUGE NO for the people who want to rest during their stay. Next: our room had a pre-set AC temperature that was impossible to change from inside the room - only from a central dashboard somewhere, but for some reason the management of the hotel was not able to change it too. They told us they didn’t know how to do it, so me and my husband had to freeze in our room, yet again - keep in mind all that for €1300+ per night.. Next: breakfast buffet was a bit of a joke. Lots of chocolate (but who on earth would want to eat chocolate for breakfast?), two types of cheeses, one type of meat, and a chocolate puffed rice with some dry fruits?. I mean…. for €1300.. Really? The shower was leaking and the lamp in our room was broken. So let me summarise it for you. DON’T go there unless your want to stay at a very basic hotel with almost zero land (nearby home owners almost can see you using a shower), near a tiny dilapidated town with zero “flavour” and dangerous-looking to walk at night, in the overpriced room with a loud bell that will never (unless you spent all your life leaving in Manhattan) let you sleep and enjoy any type of peace you imagine you would have staying in that area of Italy. Good effort by the owners who tried hard to make it pretty, but the renovation is not impressive (please, don’t forget to put carpet on the stairs, it belongs there), the pink velvet divans will look outdated very soon and the giant painting in the middle of the hall is just pathetic. I am sure in about 10 years garden will look great and oranges will pick up but for now…Unfortunately it’s not enough when you have to pay €1300+ per night. We booked this place for 2nights but left the first morning. Really not worth it.

Previously a monastery, these days a hotel where you experience the calm and quiet from times past. The hotel is meticulousy renovated, the Spa a blessing, the garden perfect and the food delicious. But most of all: what a staff!! Each and everyone is só kind. We highly recommend this hotel!

Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare per due notti in questo favoloso resort situato nei pressi di Lucca, dove ogni elemento è pensato per offrire un’esperienza di assoluto benessere. Un vero rifugio di pace e bellezza immerso nella natura, ma con tutti i comfort e i servizi di un’accoglienza di altissimo livello. Le camere sono ampie, raffinate e curate con gusto impeccabile, affacciate su un paesaggio che sembra uscito da un dipinto. Il silenzio, la luce soffusa del tramonto sulle colline. Ogni dettaglio invita al relax più autentico. Il resort dispone di una spa meravigliosa, dove il tempo sembra fermarsi. Tra percorsi benessere, trattamenti esclusivi e atmosfere ovattate, ho vissuto momenti di puro relax. Le piscine esterne riscaldate sono un vero gioiello, perfette per godersi un bagno rigenerante anche nelle ore più fresche, circondati dal verde e dal cielo aperto. Una menzione speciale va alla palestra scavata nella roccia: un luogo unico, dove allenarsi diventa un’esperienza sensoriale. L’armonia tra natura e design raggiunge qui la sua massima espressione. colazione preparata con materie di prima qualità , dolci fatti in casa e in aggiunta menu alla carta con una vista mozza fiato e servizio impeccabile. Il ristorante del resort ha superato ogni aspettativa. Ogni piatto è una celebrazione della cucina toscana, rivisitata con eleganza e creatività. Ingredienti di altissima qualità, abbinamenti sorprendenti e un servizio attento e caloroso hanno reso ogni cena un momento indimenticabile. Un soggiorno breve, ma così intenso e perfetto da lasciare un ricordo prezioso. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca un’evasione di classe, tra lusso discreto, natura e sapori autentici. Tornerò sicuramente.

Il resort accoglie con profumi di fiori e brezza marina, dove la natura danza in una perfezione senza tempo. Ogni esperienza – dal relax alla scoperta – è pensata per farci sentire in un sogno. E così, tra il lusso e la raffinatezza del resort, si ritrova la promessa: quella di trasportarci in un luogo magico, fuori dal tempo, dove bellezza e benessere si fondono in un'unica, straordinaria visione.
