Stoneridge Resort

I've stayed here several times before, so I knew the location and condition of rooms I previously stayed in. On this trip, I had negative experiences regarding the rooms I stayed in. When I checked in, I explained that I'm noise sensitive and wanted a room where no one is above me. They checked in their system and told me I'd be on the 2nd floor. I have stayed in rooms on the 2nd floor before where there is no one above me, so I thought it would be fine. However, not only did they put me in the oldest part of the resort, just above the reception area, but it was an area where there is a 3rd floor and there was a family directly above me with kids jumping around and yelling and doing what kids do. The next day, I explained what happened and asked for a different room. Nicole was quite helpful and gave me keys to 3 different rooms, saying 2 of the rooms would have an upgrade fee. I was ready to take the room that did not have the upgrade fee (but still had a cleaning fee, despite this being causes by their error), but then she told me that there's a room directly above it, which totally defeated the whole purpose. The other 2 rooms were next door to each other. I was leaning towards the room with the private balcony until Nicole told me that the room with a shared balcony only had someone checked in next door for 1 night. Unless someone checked in at the last minute, which she doubted would happen, then I would have that place to myself, which had a much better view. So I opted for that. Unfortunately, as soon as the woman who stayed one night checked out, more people checked in. I found out in a very upsetting way. I was sitting on the couch, half dressed when a man came up to the sliding glass windows and literally pressed his face against the window, looking in at me. Creepy as hell! I did report this. He stayed several nights, and more people checked in when he left. Then I had two kids taking turns with their face against my sliding glass doors looking in. So, most of my time staying in that condo was very uncomfortable. There definitely needs to be a partition separating the two halves of the deck! Avoid any rooms with shared decks unless family or friends are in the other room! I believe I should be refunded the upgrade fee, at a minimum.

We really enjoyed staying here. The property is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, the rooms were nice though a little dated, the Internet is very good so I was able to work here remotely with no problems.

I have stayed here twice, and the staff has always bent over backwards to get whatever I ask. They have a free keurig coffee stand in the lobby, nightly movies in the media room, fun crafts for the kids, a pool, sauna, steam room, giant 12-person jacuzzi tub, putt putt golf, free game room with pool table, ping pong, video games, raquetball, pickleball, and a variety of games and puzzles for the family. There is a huge room that can comfortably seat around 40 people for family reunions, including a full kitchen. The view of the mountains is spectacular. Everyone was friendly, and I have no complaints, except I had to leave early because the snow was coming down on the pass! My room was a studio, which was still very large, with a hug temperpedic mattress, dining table, kitchen stocked with the necessities of home, and a hideaway couch. It was quiet, and every room has a full-sized fridge and balcony.
