Having an urge to revisit Bonn after a school trip back in 1987, my kids booked me a flight & hotel, they picked really well! A lovely situated hotel, very clean and decorated beautifully. We ate in the restaurant every evening and the food was lovely, as was the wine. After dinner there was nothing better than either relaxing in the hotel’s grounds or a stroll along the river. We booked in for breakfast too, which also didn’t disappoint, sitting out on the patio in the morning sun watching the boats was a great start to the day. The hotel is ideally situated for a short walk into Bonn, such a beautiful place and great shopping. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were so lovely, friendly and helpful. My German was very basic, but pretty much everyone spoke English incredibly well, in the town too, luckily. The hotel has a small gym which was adequately equipped for my workouts. If I had to say a negative, it would be just the fact our flight was so early, that we arrived at the hotel at 8:30am and couldn’t be checked in till 3pm, though we could use the grounds, toilets and leave the cases, after travelling it would’ve been nice to maybe get a light bite and cup of tea at the hotel, as we had been up since midnight travelling and didn’t know the area, we fell asleep on the deckchairs in the grounds, which was very relaxing, now we’ve been we have more of an idea about locations to eat etc. Would love to go back again. Such a great trip, loved Bonn & the people.

El hotel está situado en una zona tranquila, a 2 minutos a pie de la ciudad. La habitación era muy confortable, pero no se podía encontrar en el hotel. La comida era buena, pero el servicio era lento .... muy largo retraso entre los primeros y los principales precios y los precios más bien en la parte alta. En general, una buena estancia, con un servicio amigable y un buen sueño de noche.

This Marriott is located near the river, with nie walking paths nearby. It is easy to drive to, on the outskirts of the city of Bonn, and very near a metro station. The parking garage is large and easy to navigate. There are no nearby resturants (other than the overpriced one in the hotel)....a Vapianos and one other place, named ”Different” are the next closest at about a 15-20 minute walk away and no grocery stores close enough to easily walk to. This is our second stay here and in both cases Lieferando orders took FOREVR to get to us and involved lost drivers. We saw two other guest parties having similar delivery issues this stay. The front desk staff are very friendly and professional. Check in and out went smoothly. The executive lounge is spacious and recently renovated. Food and drink offerings and service were less than most Marriotts in Germany. There are only peanuts and gummy candies during the day. Plus water (if someone has refilled it, it was empty almost as often as full), coffee and a soda fountain with Pepsi products. Evening cocktail hour adds juices, wines and beer, NO ice brought in for the sodas (we did flag someone down the first night and ask for it, it was brought about half an hour later, but the staff seem so busy we didn't feel comforatble asking again). Lounge staff never greet guests or offer any service, only come to refill food or drinks in the self serve area or bus tables from time to time. Snacks are defintely that, snacks, most Marriott lounges you can make a light meal out of the offerings, not this one (ironic given how little other meal options are nearby). The main offering was soup nightly (plus a VERY small salad and cheses selection and one meat based starter each night). The soup alternated between cauliflower or potato nightly. The gym is large and a highlight of the property. Lots of equipment and all in good shape. Housekeeping is below expectations. Our room was missed one day, dirty glasses (all placed togehter on one dresser) were never removed (there were 14 at the end of the week), lotion not refilled, etc. However the major cleaning was done, and towels were actually left to be reused when we hung them up, which was nice. There was an ice bucket in the room but the only way to get ice was to call for room service. They really need to add an ice machine to the shop area like so many other marriotts in Germany are doing. The bed was confotable and the room fairly well layed out overall. One final gripe: the TVs are enclosed in a wood frame to keep people from plugging a device into them to stream. OK, I am sure too many people damage TVs doing that, BUT this hotel also fails to offer streaming, or log in options diretcly on the TV, etc. Most any good hotel these days finds a way to let you stream your content on the in room TV and lacking that, plus the only channels available being basic German ones, really felt like somthing was missing. Overall it is more good

Well this hotel is iconic and there's a reason for that. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are great, plenty of room to spread out. The staff was very pleasant, but you can't overlook the perfect location! The cafe's out front overlooking the square is the best spot to enjoy a coffee or wine or a meal, it never gets old. This is worth checking out, you won't be disappointed! I didn't drive, so can't talk about that.

Este hotel moderno se encuentra a la estación principal de ferrocarril de Bonn, a pocos minutos a pie de los lugares turísticos del centro de la ciudad, y a la orilla de un hermoso distrito residencial histórico que incluye los jardines botánicos que merecen visitar. El hotel dispone de una gran tienda de panadería y una buena panadería en todo el camino. Así que una excelente ubicación en general. Las habitaciones son bastante espaciosas, camas confortables, TV grande. No hay instalaciones de café. El hotel tiene una tarjeta de viaje de Bonn para la duración de la estancia: es una adición agradable. El principal desventaja es que se oye un poco de ruido desde los trenes y la estación. Más que en algunos otros hoteles hemos permanecido en esa estación de ferrocarril. Mi compañero dormió bien, no lo hice. Los trenes de carga pasaron cada 15 minutos o así durante toda la noche. Es extraño, cuando el primer día me había preguntado acerca de un posible cambio de habitación al lado de la carretera del edificio (10 euros más, ¡No hay trenes a la noche! ¿Me quedaría si visitara Bonn? Probablemente sí.

1. The machine outside the door to swipe the hotel key was not functional --- and this was apparently known to the staff, but no sign was put outside. 2. The call button on the same machine was also not functioning. We tried MULTIPLE TIMES. Again, no sign put outside of this malfunction. 3. I called the number indicated, the line was ringing but then eventually rerouted to a gentelman. After verifying that I am indeed a checked in guest to the hotel, i was transferred to the front desk, where it was later on picked up by somebody else saying his colleague was on the phone and will attend to us shortly. We stood outside in the cold for 30 MINUTES and still NO ONE had appeared to be in the front desk, although it should be manned at all times espeically when the malfucntion of the machine is known!! 4. We found the BACK DOOR WAS OPEN !! and was able to make our way in the hotel. Looking in the room behind the front desk there was one person JUST SITTING THERE. He claims he never recieved a call and claims he did not hear us knocking and banging at the front. 5. We informed him that the machine was not functioning, which he confirmed he already was aware of. We informed him that the bell was not functioing and he had little to no concern on this matter. We informed him of the calls, and he denied ever receving or hearing any calls come through.

Moderne und saubere Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist sehr gut, das Bad sauber und ruhig ist es auch. Die Betten sind auch genau richtig für mein Rücken. Ich habe mich mit meiner Tochter sehr wohl gefühlt. Haben nach dem Frühstück noch etwas im Bett gelungert.

La ubicación es muy buena, el centro de la ciudad es muy pequeño y está muy cerca de donde quiera que vaya. Básicamente, puedes ir a todos los lugares a los que vale la pena ir en diez minutos. Hay un estacionamiento cercano, y el borde de la carretera también se puede detener en la puerta. La habitación es pequeña pero normal en Europa.

This is the most wonderful hotel if you are interested in a restorative stay. The staff is warm friendly the hotel clean and it has a fabulous pool warm clean comfortable and an immaculately clean sauna and showers. Strongly encourage to pay for breakfast included as the breakfast buffet is exceptional. Additionally there is a laundromat in the basement that you can use for $2.50 euros. If you cant read German find someone to help you as it is not intuitively obvious how to use you must put the settings you want in place before paying or you lose your coins! The hotel is combined with an assisted living which is interesting and feels like it works well. Will definitely come back if returning to Bonn and next time would try and get a room that is on the garden. Highly recommend

I stayed here for Fedcon 2023. It’s a massive hotel, perfectly made for conventions and conferences. My room was nice although it felt a little dated in it’s style. The air-con worked really well and I did love the shower. However there was no kettle or complimentary bottled water which are both standard in most hotels these days. The pillows were also too soft for me but that is a matter of personal preference. I loved the convenience of staying there for the convention. The buffet breakfast and dinners were great in variety and value. Having a water fountain or some sort of access to free water for conference/convention guests would be a great addition to the hotel as it was a really warm weekend and dehydration was a real concern. The vending machines couldn’t cope and the queues for the cafe were often long. You could buy water at reception but €3 per 500ml bottle is extortionate. The staff however were great and I do have to praise the staff attending the toilets all weekend as they were kept to a high standard for the 2000 people at the event the entire time. Overall it is a great hotel, just missing a few bits to make it excellent for me.
